Haven't played in nearly 10 years
Earlier tonight my girlfriend was watching a Youtube video of a guy making a clay Wall of Flesh when I mentioned it was a boss in Terraria and that got me thinking "You know, I never really got a personal experience with that game". When I first played the game in 2015, I was the last of my friends to learn how to play the game and most of my friends already had good items for me to start with, so I didn't really bother with making my own world to play in. I remember we did quite a bit during that playthough but I never really picked up the game since. So once she was finished I decided to give the game a boot, especially because the devs are still updating it (thanks re-logic).
I booted the game, made a character and a world, started doing the basics and realized I had gotten a achievement that really gave me a good laugh, only because I have over half of the achievements in the game completed. Thought this image would be a good way to sum up just why this ended up being so funny to me.
The image is a screenshot of steam's achievement list for Terraria, with a very simple achievement \\"Benched\\" \(Craft your first work bench\) being achieved on July 16th 2025. The achievement on the bottom of the screenshot is \\"Slayer of Worlds\\" \(Defeat every boss in Terraria\) being achieved on August 8th 2015.
