It shouldn't work at all but it did!
I was thinking of moving computer parts around and with less thinking booted a Gigabyte mobo that has basically the same chipset (Z790) as my MSI hack (Z760) with a clone of the MSI Sonoma and Sequoia. I was expecting problems with the USB kext but the Gigabyte booted and seemed to work quite well, although I didn't push it, except for a totally white desktop.
The USB ports seemed to work as I booted the clone from both a USB A and USB C front panel port with the keyboard and mouse plugged into back panel USB A ports.
Then "duh" moment came when I remembered that the Gigabyte has an nVidia 3060 GPU, the MSI has a Radeon 6600 GPU. Both CPUs are F type, no iGPU.
I'm kind of shocked that I got a seemingly OK 4k monitor image, even mouse movements were ok, but I didn't push it very far after I realized it should not be working this well, if at all. Even if there was no GPU acceleration it all seemed to work quite well for the light web browsing I did, I even looked at documents in Word and Excel. Apart from the white desktop the 4k image of websites, Word and Excel looked and behaved as expected.
Whatever the "vanilla" video drivers are in macOS they apparently work to an shockingly ok degree with Ampere gpus, the 3060 anyway, for light use.

Z790 USB 3.x in Tahoe?
I've been rolling Sequoia and Sonoma for years now flawlessly on my system, including 20Gbps USB 3.2. I managed to finally get Tahoe installed after a good week or two of struggling (new kexts, etc). At this point it's working almost fully except for USB. I've done all the mapping and configuration I can find for and the end result is always that my USB ports all work, but are only seen as USB 2.0. I've used USBMap+USBMapInjector, I've trying exporting USBMap from Hackintool, then updating for Tahoe via USBMapInjector. At this point, I'm not sure it's a mapping issue, unless it's related to the fact that in Tahoe, it's showing as "Built in," which might be causing the different kext to load for it. Screenshots attached if it helps. Anyone gotten this working? Using the existing Sequoia files doesn't work either. Same result.

Skylake SMBios and build Recommendation
I have a Asus B150M Plus, and a i5-6500, running on iGPU.
Since I am most familiar with High Sierra I decided to try that.
I tried a few SMBios, the iMac 17,1, MacbookPro 14,1, and Macbook 9,1. In hindsight the 9,1 is a pretty bad pick.
But I get the "prohibited" screen instead.
So uh .. do I need a ... Radeon R9 M380?
There is no way I have space for that. Does a FirePro W4300 sound convincing enough?
Alternatively, I do have a real Mac. A MBP 2016, I think. Also 6th gen. The SSD died, but I have a 2230 Phison ready to go in once the adapter come.

So i decided to install Sonoma again, on my laptop. But Airportitlwm won’t work on the installer. I’ve done OC Snapshots, getting the right version of Airportitlwm.kext. But it just doesn’t work. Any help? I should’ve kept Sequoia tbh.

* What part I got an issue with:
Basically, when I start it, I have the Apple logo with a progression bar, and when he arrives close to the middle, there is a little black screen and Apple logo comes back but the luminosity is a bit different, the grey in the progression bar is a bit different but everything is fine as I arrive to the login part. The problem is : the colors are awful, idk it looks like "inverted colors" but worse, and it's hard to even read some things, and I don't understand where it comes from..As you can see in the first two screenshots it's really weird..
What is even more weird, is that I went to have dinner, the PC went to sleep, and when I came back, colors where fixed and "normal" as a normal Mac/PC would be (the third screenshot). And so I discovered that I can restart the PC 50 times, colors/graphics will be awful, but once I put the PC to sleep and touch the keyboard 1 second later to turn it "on" again, the colors are fixed and perfect.
So my question is, how can I have perfect colors without having to put the PC to sleep every time I turn it on ?
I tried different things, like editing the config.plist (with ProperTree) with the help of ChatGPT, giving me some advices like :
\- for boot-args like "wegnoegpu alcid=71 keepsyms=1 swd_panic=1 -igfxdbeo"
\- changing values of things like AAPL,ig-platform-id, framebuffer-patch-enable, framebuffer-stolenmem with numbers he gives me
\- adding new childs like device-id in some specific part he asked me
But not one of them fixed my problem.. So I would be happy if someone has a thread/tutorial I could refer myself to because I've tried looking on Youtube or Forums but I probably don't use the correct words so I didn't find anything..It might be a stupid question and I'm sorry for it but it's my first Hackintosh and it's the only problem I have so I would like to fix it, and as it works well after I put the PC to sleep, I would love to see him work before sleeping as well..

Compiling AppleALC.kext following the official guide.
My is good to BigSur, Sonoma, and now, Sequoia. Everything working. But the audio codec ALC897 have his own layout. I’ve compiled and I have the right configs but wen compiling Xcode project to include the right layoutId the kext just don’t load and pc stuck on Apple logo. I’m on macOS 15.5, last Xcode version, opencore 1.0.4. Can someone help me to get success compiling the kext to get working ?

Is there an easy way to install Ventura+ on ivy bridge? (read below)

ive been trying for some time but it never boots, it always panics. Ive been following the OCLP4Hackintosh Config guide for installing macOS 13+ on ivy Bridge (https://github.com/5T33Z0/OCLP4Hackintosh), but no luck, It always panics and I've followed everything as much as possible. But it still panics, also a big issue right now is the EFI made simply refuses to boot into macOS Big Sur (last supported OS on ivy bridge laptop). since I had to send the laptop to the shop to get it repaired, I used Opcore simplify ( ik dumb move but I needed a OS that was not Windows) I hand picked the kexts, ACPI, and SMBIOS, and it works Pretty Good I have to say, but the EFI I made hasn't booted even tho I followed the open core install guide perfectly( I have done it on sandy bridge laptop as well). But no luck in booting it, It spits out random errors each time, one time it says something applekeystore, next time it shows the audio verbose lines then halts until I force shutdown the laptop. so, if one of you great people have a fix for my problem Please let me know! I can provide you the EFI Folder I made or the OPCORE EFI (if ya'll even want it), Plus I can provide pictures or a video if needed.

Would it be worth running Ventura on a normal pc?
I've been getting intrested in changing OS the past couple of weeks, mainly because windows has been pissing me off. I wanna try linux, but something that always struck me is how simple and nice MacOS feels and looks. So I was wondering, how would macos work on my normal pc? Would it just straight up not work because of the different architecture, and I'd have to use an older version. Would it be worth it?

Ryzen 7 5700x3d
RTX 4060
1tb SSD (If I do this on my computer, I will most likely buy a 512gb SSD as well)
