I find it hilarious, this is my life pre and post bitcoin
Pre: get high, always stressed, negative cash flow rentals, arguing at work, top or 2nd top producer, miss having a dog
Post: no weed, much more relaxed, don't argue at work, sold rentals, bought bitcoin, take extra cash flow and buy btc
Pre: phone never charged, frantic, needing to prove my point
Post: phone always charged, AirPods charged, takes a lot to make me frantic, "sounds good"
Pre-Don't work out, eat everything out
Post: enjoy cooking, work out
Pre-No dog
Post: great dog
Pre-never getting my dream car
Post: dream car comes in 2 days
Pre: think everyone else is insane
Post: realize I'm crazy but most people are REALLY crazy
Pre: worried about stuff I can't control
Post: worried about stuff I can control
Pre-focus on income and wealth
Post-primarily focus on wealth and time
Pre-Need to be right

What happened to the person who sold to time the dip?
I can’t find it anymore but I remember seeing a post recently from someone who stated that they sold all their bitcoin to buy back cheaper due to the Middle East conflict. Well now that Bitcoin is back up over $105k, just wondering whether they were successful timing the dip, still waiting on the dip, or did they FOMO back in? Anyone else care to share their success or failures on timing the market? Personally I just buy and hold.

Bitcoin got me through one of the darkest periods of my life.
I don’t usually share personal stuff online, but I feel like this is the one place where people might actually understand.
In 2020, during peak lockdown, I lost my job, broke up with my partner, and honestly felt like I had no direction. Every day felt the same. My mental health was tanking, and I didn’t see a way out.
One night, while doomscrolling Reddit, I stumbled across a thread in this sub. People weren’t just talking about getting rich—they were talking about hope. About freedom. About building something that no one could take from you. That struck a nerve.
I didn’t have much, but I started learning. I read The Bitcoin Standard. I watched videos. I listened to podcasts. Then I bought my first $50 worth of BTC. It felt stupidly small, but it meant something.
Over the next months, Bitcoin gave me something I hadn’t felt in a long time: purpose. I started budgeting. Learning about money. Saving. Stacking. It didn’t fix everything, but it made me feel in control of something, even just a little.
Fast forward to now: I’ve got a steady job again. A little cold wallet. A long-term mindset. I still struggle sometimes, but Bitcoin helped me rebuild—from the inside out.
I know for some people it’s just an asset. For me, it was a lifeline.

Amazing: USA just bombed Iran and Bitcoin didn't even go below 100K.

It was a "sell the rumor-buy the news" situation: People sold Bitcoin on the expectation of the bombing, and when it actually happened not only didn't dump more, but it even recovered a bit.
...and take into account this happened on the middle of the weekend, when the big dumps happen because people can't dump stocks or anything else on weekends.
Bitcoin is maturing so much.
