How to find yolky boys?

Came across my first yolky slime after 30 hours randomly in the split colour place and was stoked to see a whole new slime with a fun new mechanic. Cue me gathering resources while I was there, firing off a mistakenly vacuumed pink slime into a ocean to clear up some space so I could pick up some honey, and oh the pink slime's still in my inventory... wait... where yolky...

So I accidentally blasted this extra rare boy into the sea and am devastated. I've come across more gold and lucky slimes than yolky slimes. How can I find more?

Question about accelerators in sr 2

Hello everyone, I'm wondering if it possible to dispense plorts fast into accelerators like it is dispensing them into the market straight up? Right now it stays at the default speed and doesn't speed up like in the latter instance. I tried making the transport as fast as possible with like 50 accelerators but it still wont speed up, is there anything to do against this or is there no solution?

Nephew asked me to post here for him, Slime Rancher event in Los Angeles

Hi Everyone,

Hope this is ok to post here. I don't play the game, but my nephew loves it and he lets me watch him play it. I'm taking him to the Slime Rancher event at Nucleus Gallery in Alhambra, and he's so excited. He knows I go on reddit so he asked me to see if anyone on this subreddit was also looking forward to it, and it looks like no one here as posted about it? He's too young to post himself so I'm asking for him.

It's an official Monomi Park event, with tribute artwork and a signing by Yusuke Naora, which I'm super excited about because of his work on the Final Fantasy series! When I saw that I didn't realize he also worked on Slime Rancher too. We're both really looking forward to going, got tickets for the signing, and there's still a lot left. I go to this gallery often, they're always doing cool events and bringing artists over from Japan. They have a kpop demon hunters show up right now, but Slime Rancher is opening up next month. They always make good prints and sometimes other really cool merch, probably going to get my nephew a gordo plush if it's one he doesn't have already.

Anyway he says hi to everyone!

[SR2] How does tarr affect achivements.

I play sr2 without tarr and without feral slimes, i have the feral slimepedia entry but not the tarr one, however i want to 100% the game and i have 3 types of slimes (Cotton-Bat largos and Cotton-Flutter) in the den, will i have to turn them on and loose all my slimes?

Guys what am I missing

Guys I don't know what I'm looking for. I'm trying to do the bit about shutting down the Prismacore where you use the Nullifier and such. I feel like I've gone all over the Grey Labyrinth looking for walls. What am I missing? What am I looking for? Please help.

Quantum drone question

In a given area you can have your drones harvest an individual resource or all available resources in that area. Is there any advantage to the former? Like, if there's an area where they can harvest either Strange Diamond OR Lava Dust OR all available resources... Why would you ever select just one? Do they harvest at a greater rate if they're just looking for one thing?

chickens

sometimes i think my chickens are on some type of crack in SR2. I normally go to sleep to pass the time i had 27 hen hens and 18 roostros, and then when i go to feed my largo when there diet is meat. It looks like they plan orgy party every night. How do i make the population smaller to the chicken coop, i do have all the upgrades.

Man I can’t do it again

In Slime Rancher 2 during the save problems, I lost my save file to the 1.0 release. Then, I got 35 days in on a new save, had discovered the labyrinth entrance, had just remembered to explore the Powderfall Bluffs (forgot it existed low key)

And guess what? The save patch came out and I lost my new save. Only to have my first save from over 2 months ago appear on my profile.

I restarted because I wanted so desperately to play this game after the 1.0 release, but I can’t go through the exploring, slow start and resource grinding again.

Maybe in 6 months I’ll forget about the game and be able to play again 😂

Xbox fixed?

Hey everyone, I decided to hold off on playing anymore until the Xbox save issue had been fixed. Just curious if that’s been patched yet? I’m not seeing anything in recent posts about it. I really don’t want to put more energy into the game until it has for sure been resolved.
And yes, I’ve tried the quick save workaround. It doesn’t work for me so please don’t recommend it. I just want it to be playable without having to remember to do extra steps the game should be doing for me.

Making Slimes Stay in Chairs?

Is there anyways to make my slimes stay in their seats? I have two slimes I want to permanently stay seated in one spot. Anytime I try to feed them they move off their seats, sometimes they just wonder away on their own. Is there any mod to keep them seated? I know the teacup seats technically work, but they completely clash with the "garden" vibe I'm going for :(

[SR1] Help with Hat Trick achievement (read body copy)

I already screwed up with the vault, so that's no longer an option. I know I can grind to level 20 to get the snare, but I want that to be a last resort. I know there are no guaranteed spawn locations. I just want to know if there's a good method for possibly seeing one. I have a gilded ginger on me. Would throwing slimes into the sea to keep respawning new ones help? Is there anywhere else that's guaranteed? This game is so grindy, and I just don't want to spend another 5 hours trying to find one/grind for the snare. TIA

Bit confused with the direction the game goes into after the Labyrinth

This is about Slime Rancher 2 btw. Does anyone else feel like the game kind of just switched direction midway into its development? The first few areas felt like actual areas that were added but then the Labyrinth comes in and it's kind of like the devs just made this up halfway into development and rolled with it. I'm a bit disappointed tbh because I was more excited to just explore whole new biomes, the Labyrinth looks cool but it feels like the whole game suddenly revolves around this?

Like I'm early/half-way into the labyrinth and the NPC's stopped talking to me as well, money and my slimes at home kind of feel like they don't matter anymore (I've got like 40k and bought all expansions already), I have NO idea where to find the remaining upgrades and explored the other biomes pretty thoroughly without finding them so not so sure what to do there, but it kind of just feels like the game turned into something else since there's suddenly a whole different dialogue system with the Labyrinth girl while the NPC's at home don't talk to me anymore.

Like it feels disjointed, like the game turned into something else halfway in.. I still kind of enjoy it but also it's grindy af because of Plasma plorts and Shadow plorts, and I think my progression seems to require me to mostly just have enough of the mirror reflection thingies and a strong enough jetpack to fly over a huge distance. It feels like it's not really connected to the previous parts of the game that well?
