Crypto holders are more likely to be psychopaths 🤷🏻‍♂️

The old Twitter joke about laser-eyed Bitcoin maxis being “psychopaths” may be more than just a meme.

▫️According to researchers from the University of Toronto and the University of Miami, roughly 30% of polled owned some form of cryptocurrency. This group was more associated with “belief in conspiracy theories,” alongside dark tetrad characteristics including “narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and sadism.”

▫️The research paper went mostly unnoticed until it was shared by Johns Hopkins Economics Professor Steve Hanke – a notorious Bitcoin critic – earlier this week.

Crypto holders display lower levels of analytic and scientific thinking and are likelier to exhibit psychopathy than the general population.

One in four Americans views crypto as a key component of their ideal investment portfolio, according to a new study by Clarify Capital titled “Redefining the American Dream.”

The study reveals that while traditional assets like real estate (70%) and stocks (69%) remain popular choices overall, crypto has emerged as a significant desired asset class, particularly among younger generations.

Bitcoin holdings of publicly listed firms increased to $20B in one year

Bitbo data shows that 42 publicly listed companies hold 335,249 Bitcoin worth roughly $2B. The amount of BTC publicly traded firms held a year ago was worth $7.2 billion, which is a 177.7% increase in the value of BTC holdings of public firms.

VC monthly report in August, number of financing decreases by 1%, amount decreases by 22%

🔸 According to RootData statistics, there were 110 publicly disclosed Crypto VC investment projects in August, a decrease of 1% month-on-month (111 projects in July 2024) and an increase of 41% year-on-year (78 projects in August 2023).

Singapore, Hong Kong and UAE lead in crypto adoption

The researchers ranked various jurisdictions based on public adoption, infrastructure, innovation and technology, regulatory environment, economic factors and tax friendliness. 

From July to August 2024, the researchers collected data for 28 countries with investment migration programs. The results showed that Singapore was the top country in crypto adoption, followed by Hong Kong and the UAE.

It all depends from your targets, well established tokens like some you mentioned will undoubtedly gain in price , but due to the already large caps ,will gain potentially less than some newer alternatives, although will be more secure, I personally trade security for potential gain any time in crypto, my risk reward ratio appetite is high , I only ever invest in Crypto what i can afford to loose when BTC goes past ath and consolidates above it all should pump independently
