📈 The crypto venture capital sentiment continues to improve

▫️Venture capitalists invested $3.19 billion in cryptocurrency and blockchain companies in Q2, slightly higher than the $3.16 billion in the first quarter.

▫️Early-stage deals captured nearly 80% of the investment capital and pre-seed deals accounted for 13% of all deals.

▫️The Web3 category led the way with about $750m raised, driven by Farcaster ($150m) and Zentry ($140m). Layer1s notably came in fourth with $371m, led by the Monad ($225m) and Berachain ($100m) deals.

Thank you. Do you maybe know, why this project is different than others? Why you decided to invest.
And I will also try to find out more in their group. Im very attracted by projects offering staking, even if almost all with good staking didnt go up much in last year.

Crypto exploit incidents rose 50%, with losses topping $1.43B in H1 2024

The first half of 2024 saw a significant increase in blockchain security incidents, with 223 reported cases resulting in losses of $1.43 billion, a 50% increase from H1 2023.

▪️Ethereum suffered the highest losses at $400 million, followed by Arbitrum ($72.46 million) and Blast ($70 million).
▪️The DeFi sector remained the most targeted, accounting for 70.85% of incidents with $659 million in losses.

▪️Digital asset investment products saw inflows totaling $441m, with recent price weakness prompted by Mt Gox and the German Government selling pressure likely being seen as a buying opportunity.

▪️Bitcoin saw $398m inflows but unusually represented just 90% of total inflows as investors chose to invest across a much broader set of altcoins.

▪️The improved sentiment has not been reflected in blockchain equities which saw a further $8m outflows last week.

Go into Metis and ask about all node operators, there are currently two native ones Enki, and Artemis, don’t like Enki too complicated and not clear, Artemis much easier and I have admins in my private chat, so can ask stuff, recently 6 new nodes operators were approved including okx, which will probably offer soon staking in their exchange, you also have liquid staking and lending protocols, you should explore the ecosystem its booming

The current staking rewards are incentivised, the normal rewards will he 20% gross, this is the rewards for decentralised sequencing, but the node operators take 2% so will be 18% , which is still a decent reward
