▪️Digital asset investment products saw inflows totaling $441m, with recent price weakness prompted by Mt Gox and the German Government selling pressure likely being seen as a buying opportunity.

▪️Bitcoin saw $398m inflows but unusually represented just 90% of total inflows as investors chose to invest across a much broader set of altcoins.

▪️The improved sentiment has not been reflected in blockchain equities which saw a further $8m outflows last week.

👥 Crypto holders predicted to triple by 2026

According to crypto payments firm Lunu, the number of cryptocurrency holders could triple over the next two years based on current user growth:

“Within two years there will be at least two times or three times more crypto holders worldwide. This is where we get more adoption everywhere and in terms of payments as well.”

According to the 2024 Cryptocurrency Ownership report by Triple-A, there are an estimated 560 million crypto holders worldwide, meaning around 6.8% of the world’s population holds crypto.

Post-halving crypto market sentiment mixed, half still bullish

Crypto market sentiment has become divided just two months after the Bitcoin Halving, with no strong consensus sentiment.

According to a recent survey by Coingecko, 49.3% of crypto participants still felt bullish about the market, even amid the pullback that has reversed an initial post-Halving rally.

Specifically, 26.1% of survey respondents felt somewhat bullish, which was slightly more than the 23.2% who were fully bullish.

📈 The crypto venture capital sentiment continues to improve

▫️Venture capitalists invested $3.19 billion in cryptocurrency and blockchain companies in Q2, slightly higher than the $3.16 billion in the first quarter.

▫️Early-stage deals captured nearly 80% of the investment capital and pre-seed deals accounted for 13% of all deals.

▫️The Web3 category led the way with about $750m raised, driven by Farcaster ($150m) and Zentry ($140m). Layer1s notably came in fourth with $371m, led by the Monad ($225m) and Berachain ($100m) deals.
