Offtopic group for casual talking about anything. @rules_for_python still apply (except for the ontopic rule)
Change your profile to something ugly.
Something that says, I am a guy.
And they'd leave you tf alone
Girls have a rough time out there.
And if they think you are one, rest in peace to your dms
I heard that Chinese-speaking Telegram community has much more spam bots than English world community

Though spam bots cannot DM me via the public username, if I decided to remove it, once they found a public group where 1. I am in the group 2. the group doesn't hide its participants, Telegram would allow them to DM me

That's when the plans are bigger because you have actual users and want to make sure things keep working when you have a sudden surge of users.

Yeah, for what you do, that's totally sufficient. But if the plan ever becomes world domination, you might want to make it a separate service.

yaa i this is like after i will change my code and new version of my app i will make a tag so that later something wrong happens i can come back to the version right?
So you say i will use one container for this ffmpeg + flask app?
see i will write the instruction in the Dockerfile and then i will make image with -t right?
and then i will just run this after this will build ?
but i cannot gurantee what ffmpeg version it will install here ?
But for if you say i will run one container where i will run flask app with uv run main.py ...
There i need to install ffmpeg at start of this container with the instraction of:
RUN apt-get update && apt-get install -y ffmpeg`
Hello, apologies for the interruption. I am developing a Python web application that allows users to upload audio files (MP3, M4A, WAV) and converts them using FFmpeg. Since my local machine already has FFmpeg installed, I have been researching how to implement this in a Dockerized environment on my VPS.
I understand the best practice is to run one service per container. However, I am unsure how to apply this when my Flask application requires access to FFmpeg. I have found two potential approaches:
1. Install FFmpeg directly in the same container as the Flask application (e.g., using `
RUN apt-get update && apt-get install -y ffmpeg`
I think around 2023, me and some other dude used to be in a lot of groups just to troll most of the time.
(We were bored)
But he used to receive a lot of dms from people because they thought he was a girl.
So, I gave him a gangster profile pic, and no one dmed him again.
By the way, I just checked WhatsApp's settings and they don't actually have an equivalent privacy feature. But they offer an option to block unknown DMs once they hit a certain rate

No, it is the other way around
You need an application to build an image for and run as docker.
As you do not even have one line of code written (and i am sure of this), you need to master Python first
what is this bro?
Ok first today i will try to learn Docker first fully a-z completely then i will think about separating, i need to master all docker concept first then i will go to python will it a good choice?
https://hub.docker.com/_/debian#supported-tags-and-respective-dockerfile-links
Try to find out what these tags are for.
Do you know what an image tag is and what it's used for?
Читать полностью…
No, you don't install anything when a container starts. You build an image and use that image. The build can be as little as using a Debian image and doing the ffmpeg installation.

Whatever works for you. If you solve it with a container image, it'll work everywhere where that container runs.
