Of course, this is paranoia.
But still, when I implement calls in MadelineProto (and I am doing it now), by default calls will be accepted only if a udp reflector can be used (alias MadelineProto won't be able to see your IP).
(This is by default, if you really want to accept p2p calls there will be an option for that).

Hey everyone!
It's @danogentili with a small update.
You may have noticed a certain slowness in my hosted software (like my bots or the pwrtelegram API).
This is caused by the enormous amount of users that use it, that generate every day around 1 TB of traffic.
The problem is, a VERY big slice of that traffic consists of illegal or copyrighted content.
I mean, let's be honest, would an average telegram user need to upload a gigabyte of personal photos or download some gigabytes of scientific papers?
Clearly, the API and the bots are mainly used to download/upload/rename movies, pirated software and other illegal stuff.
THIS MUST STOP.
This enormous amount of copyrighted content not only is GREATLY degrading the quality of the service offered by the API and the bots, but is also endangering me, as the creator of the service, and Flo, as the person that is paying, and is responsible, for the servers I use (thanks again for being so incredibly nice, generous and patient Flo :3).
So, if you're using the bots or the API to download/upload/spread copyrighted content, STOP DOING THAT IMMEDIATELY.
I already disallowed renaming of mkv, mp4 and apk files in @file_rename_bot and disabled downloading of mkv files in @pwrtelegrambot.
But that is not going to solve the problem (since I do not log files or any data sent trough the API) unless YOU realize that a channel/bot that distributes movies/paid apks/warez for free, or even downloading one movie with @video_dl_bot is not "awesome", "handy" or nice: it's illegal, is stealing content made with love and hard work by people all over the world, and should be closed immediately (or reported to Telegram ASAP if you aren't the creator).
If you STILL want to use my software (note, not the hosted versions) to do what I just listed, feel free to install it locally and create/download/upload whatever you want with it (as long as you comply with the terms of the license provided with it), and suffer the consequences of your own actions.
The above applies also to the creation of other software of dubious ethicality like, for example, MadelineProto flooders: feel free to download a locally copy of the library and write even CIA flooders with it, as long as you follow the terms of the AGPLV3 license.
And finally, I wanted to thank all of the nice people that supported and are still supporting me, thank you so much m8s :3333

⚠️ Security Advice⚠️

Dear users. You might have already heard that calls are coming to Telegram (check @tgbeta for more information) in the near future. Yesterday the Telegram team released some more technical information about calls which confirmed: Call data can be either routed via telegrams servers or directly sent to your peer (peer-to-peer concept).
In other words: With calls, your IP address might get revealed to to the caller.

What to do about this:
+ As soon as possible, go to your privacy settings and adjust the calls section.
+ Don't take calls from unknown users / persons you don't trust to know your IP.

Version 20 is well under way and is planned to be the biggest release yet.

To celebrate, here's what I've already done since the release of version 19 earlier today:
• /fortune, /fact and /shout are now available to use inline
• Massive performance improvements
• A lot of the code is being re-written with detailed comments explaining every single part of the framework
• The inline help now takes advantage of the next_offset parameter using the require('telegram-bot-lua.core').answer_inline_query() function, meaning your client will now load more the 50 results for each query - so this means you can view a list of every single command by typing @mattatabot / in any chat, and this list will automatically update every time I release a new plugin thanks to the auto inline plugin detection I wrote as part of mattata.lua
• Several minor things you won't notice anyway so I'm not going to go into detail

MadelineProto now supports the latest bot API file ids, secret chats, is stabler and has a nice Lua binding (with a conversion module to support tg-cli bots)!
