I let you go.
And now I'm being drowned
In all these tears
Of all these years.
It's hard to breathe...
The darkness has swallowed me up.
I set you free.
Finally.
And suddenly
The world has lost its significance.
I don't belong here anymore.
I'm free.
I'm also free.
But don't you forget for a second -
I'm there.
I'll always be there for you.

If You Have To Be Mine
By - Sandy💞
My love flows like a river
If you are mine then be a diver
My love is like a busy highway
If you are mine then be a driver
My love is like a flower
If you are mine be a gardener
My love is sick and needs treatment
If you are mine then be a doctor
If you have to be mine
You must promise forever
If you have to be mine
Hold me when things go wrong
If you have to be mine
Promise to heal my broken heart
If you have yo be mine
Promise to wipe my tears
Only if you have to been mine
Then i will be yours too...

You see that? when life was at its peak?
When mellow was the slang to speak?
The nostalgic sting that makes you weak?
Holding onto it never to let it leak!!
This was it! I'll never forget!
Other scenes, so ill to torment!
Memories hugging you I bet!
Nerdiest life replays evident!
Be it sad or happy, it's a moment
Throw It Back like a President
Since notably that escarpment
Can be seen from the horizon like the sunset!!
Heaven Can Wait
By - AcuTech 💞
Why do you run when I chase after you?
Why do you scream when all I need is a whisper from you,
The air in your lungs caught up in the awestruck beauty before you,
I shall have it no more,
No, defying even Corona guidelines, with masks off,
Bared before each other,
Because that heavenly smile of yours shall not remain hidden forever,
Not under my watch,
I want to gaze into your eyes and decipher the secrets they hold in their twinkling beauty,
I want to feel the goosebumps on your skin at the barest of touches from my fingers,
I want to see your chest heave up and down,
When you can barely catch your breath at the sight of me,
I want to experience you,
I want to experience life,
Sometimes
Love hides itself
As an eagle
Soaring high in the sky.
Intent.
Desire.
Silent waiting.
Then -
One single strike
As sharp as a sniper shot.

RESPECT
By - David Harris [Collected]
If we can not respect another
How can we expect them to respect us
If we can not respect someone’s beliefs
How can we expect them to respect ours
If we can not respect another’s race
How can we expect that race to respect us
If we can not respect others
How can we expect respect in return
Everyone expects respect
No matter who they are
The only way to gain it
Is to start treating everyone
As a friend, a brother, a sister
As part of our extended family
No matter what colour or creed they are
Only then you will start to get
The respect you so dearly crave

Nobody Knows
©By Azumi Zaima
Nobody knows it's empty,
The smile that I wear.
The real one is left behind in the past
Because I left you there...
Nobody knows I am crying.
They won't even see my tears.
When they think I am laughing,
I wish you were here...
Nobody knows it's painful.
They think that I am strong.
They say it won't kill me,
But I wonder if they are wrong...
Nobody knows I miss you.
They think I am all set free,
But I feel like I am bound with chains,
Trapped in the mystery...
Nobody knows I need you.
They think I can do it on my own,
But they don't know I am crying
When I am all alone...

Man when he loves, takes a shower and brushes his teeth.
Clean up the neighborhood, clean up the room.
Man when he loves is jealous even.
He is afraid of losing his beloved.
Man when he loves, displays his beloved
In the statuses, on facebook, in the city, in the Bush.
Man when he loves, plagiarizes beautiful poems
to send to your beloved.
Man when he loves, it's boring even.
Every hour wants to talk with his beloved.
Man when he loves, washes up underwear,
Start using perfume.
Man when he loves, he uses a condom.
Marries his beloved, and does everything to make her happy.

When the whole world is silent
And the moon shines in its darkness,
Emptiness fills the sky
And emotions in the heart.
The clouds starts to collide
And the stars align,
Making way for new dreams
And renewed hopes.
The breeze breathe peace
And certainty for comfort.
The rebuild is complete
And a new circle has just begun.
Hidden Secrets

I am a river whose surface might seem calm,
But viciously swirling in beneath;
A river who’s sound can heal others,
But can never heal itself.
I am a river that bursts into a waterfall,
But can again flow nicely,
With no bubbles at all;
A river you can touch and feel its serenity,
But if you step deeper.
You’ll feel the roughness inside of me.
I am a river that I created myself,
From each drop that fell
From my eyes that I always secretly hide.

You are my gem and jewel
Greater than the greatest novel.
Today is your day, not just special
It's a carnival.
My heart sings along the tune of your birthday song.
My mind chatters your name as if for the first time.
You bring precious feeling to my soul
And that feeling will never grow old.
Happy Birthday to my twenty four karat gold.
Every Cradle Is a Grave
( by Kemo779, Poem💞Lover member )
Seasons are changing, flowers are dying to flourish again.
The sky is moving, itching and screaming its arcane rain.
We are fucking for pleasure, production's our modern measure.
Satisfying vague ancestral needs, spreading unwanted evolutionary seeds.
We breed, breed and breed, manufacturing excessive lives to abnormally bleed.
Existence only gives birth to a never ending fear and an inevitable death, a plague that haunts us until our very last breath.
This tragic catastrophe has to cease, we have to draw a line.
Only nothingness can bring us true peace, we have to acknowledge the signs.
Our endeavour has been godless, our planet's low on time.
Our painless future is priceless, terrorizing the unborn is a crime.
The harm we've subjected is irreversible, yet nature will find a way.
Our scared selfishness is incurable, our consciousness will only betray.
Our material wants have become obligatory, our primal needs have become satisfactory.
Insignificant with hearts of stone, we seem to forget we're only flesh and bone.
Our decisions are irrational, our design is a disgrace.
We all share a great ancestor but perfection has only one face.
To be wiped off existence, to be gone without a trace.

I had no choice
( by Mist, Poem💞Lover member )
I'm so much blessed I believe
Oh God, you gave me everything !
so much that I don't want to live
this endless cycle of vainglorious lout
My path, which once was full of
infinite possibilities, now has narrowed down.
Time has cut down all those branches
to leave a few for me to choose
I know I'll choose one after the other
till I'm left with no more choices
till I'll have no more reasons to live
and know I had no choice...

Sometimes
By AcuTech 💞
Sometimes I wonder,
If maybe am trying too much,
Seeking deeply,
Working extra hard,
Chasing so long,
After something that is not mine,
Something that I will never
Be able to call mine,
After someone who will
Never glance my way,
Sometimes I wonder,
If it is all worth it,
Lying here listening to the raindrops hit the roof,
Another early morning just
Turned into a late night,
When all my thoughts come like a flood,
Sometimes I wonder,
That maybe it's not worthwhile,
To put in so much effort,
Just to end up lost and broken,
A dwindling light,
A bare shadow of what you used to be,
Sometimes I wonder,
The rumblings of a deranged man
Just One More Chance
By - AcuTech 💞
If only,
If only I could be granted,
The beautiful chance
Of seeing and experiencing your laughter,
Face to face, just one more time,
This pandemic has me going crazy,
To be granted the chance,
To gaze into your beautiful eyes and see,
What your soul held,
I would not hesitate,
I would in an instant be where you are,
It is just but my subtle way of telling you,
That I miss you,
MOONLIGHT🌔
By - Peterson Kimathi 💞
Ever present even when crescent
The night president to represent
Light present without a scent
So ancient heaven sent
Always spent not to rent!
Nourishing the night for the weak and might
Splendid not in slight nor freak in fright
Hope sentiments to fight for the right
A bliss beyond sight so far in height!
Vampires await red Moon, only once in a blue Moon!
The trance hated by a goon, not able to hide a spoon!
Cupids happiest so soon, its sight upgrades baboon!
Oh yes; the horizon full moon, makes me feel at the top of the moon!
Love is a park
By - Sandy 💞
Love is like a park
Or maybe a museum park
Our hearts are the park
They visit once in a while
Our pockets are now banks
Our emotions are like riverbanks
Our feelings are like door they knock with loud bang!
Our expression are like music band
Playing ground is our heart
They pay to see us hurt
We are known in the whole earth
We are a park, they enjoy visiting our huts
Hey you explores
Or do we call you visiters?
If you are not planning to stay
Please do not knock on our attention
Don't give us fake hugs
Yet you are hags
Taking our heart and hang
Problems to us you hire
They say..they love us for nothing
But when they visit they need something
Fare,fare!! Maybe that is nothing
Give thanks for everything
Just chilling at noon
You receive a text"send me money for salon"
Next one "send more for make-up honey"
Hey please not only in the afternoon
This generation has made love to be a park
Pretty well they they made it a bank
They cry for our wallet
They weep for our money

Love Is A Mirror
© Quinn More By Quinn
A sharpened dagger stabbed in his heart,
Ripping in two, ripping apart.
It took only a few words, but her words cut him deep,
Stealing emotions, making him weak.
A two sided mirror true in reflection,
A double edged knife cutting connections,
A place in his heart forever reserved
For the one that he loved but didn't deserve.
She twisted the dagger; it tore him apart.
She stole what was left; she stole a broken heart.

SAID
By - Chisom Onwuka
I know not what to write
But I know something is boiling me up on the inside
I know not if it is wrong to put this down or right
what I do know is nothing goes through this heart of mine beside.
My experience of life has not taken me far to this part
and I know not how to handle the rate at which my heart beat
if only somebody can creep up inside and stay just for a bit
I assure you the velocity at which this heart of mine beats will tear you apart.
I do know what to write
but I don't know how experienced the heart of my reader is concerning this matter
Or is he just a callow, inexperienced, shallow, prat.
it seriously troubles me that I sleep marred
and I don't know how long I can continue with this fight.

Let me be the...
By - Ifra Shoaib 💞
Let me be the breathe you inhale
Let me be the thought you entertain
Let me be the soundtrack you play
Let me be the music you hearken
Let me be the heart you beat
Let me be the sorrows you shield
Let me be the love you dip.
Let me be the blood you stream
Let me be the tears you wipe.
If this brevity could extinguish the realms of cacophony igniting me
Can peel off the indelible scars on my face
Can deduct the pain cusping in my heart
Can make me feel serene
Calmness soothing me thrust
Then let me immerse in that very moment.💖
Star writes
Why is it so easy to focus on little failures
And let them replay like a castle tape in mind,
They cast an invisible cloud over your eyes
And caused you to be so blind.
Blind to all the substantial success in life
And all the times you did so well,
You worked so hard and pushed yourself
But you worried that no one could tell.
The truth is though, it was obvious,
All you ever did was trying your very best
But it's important not to weigh yourself down,
And learn to let your body rest.
Demon
By - Oba 💞
Putting the pieces back to life
I stumbled on another piece of lie.
While drawing the pictures for you,
I witnessed another demon just in sight.
A queen or a demon?
You gave me memories that torments.
I had to wonder if you're ever human,
Since the damages are hard to forget.
To change you might not be easy,
Since you're the demon I help created.
I want it to stop so badly
And I'll pierce my heart if ever needed.

You
( Carol Ann Duffy )
Uninvited, the thought of you stayed too late in my head,
so I went to bed, dreaming you hard, hard, woke with your name,
like tears, soft, salt, on my lips, the sound of its bright syllables
like a charm, like a spell.
Falling in love
is glamorous hell ; the crouched, parched heart
like a tiger ready to kill ; a flame's fierce licks under the skin.
Into my life, larger than life, beautiful, you strolled in.
I hid in my ordinary days, in the long grass of routine,
in my camouflage rooms. You sprawled in my gaze,
staring back from anyone's face, from the shape of a cloud,
from the pining, earth-struck moon which gapes at me
as I open the bedroom door. The curtains stir. There you are
on the bed, like a gift, like a touchable dream.
Portrait in Graphite and Ornamental Hagiography
( C. Dale Young )
You may not believe it, but I have tried,
set my sights on the morning star
in belief it would guide me. I have tried.
I have tried, as the Jesuits taught, to be
singular, to be whole, to be one. The labor
of this was exhausting. Time reveals things
one need not appreciate when young, and I fear
being singular, being one, is something
damned near impossible for someone
like me. Saint Jerome, cloistered in a tiny room,
found his singular calling in updating
the Latin Bible with his knowledge of Greek texts.
In Assisi, Saint Francis updated nature, called birds
out of the trees. I am, unfortunately, no saint.
Fractured, divided to the quick, I am incapable
of being singular. And the old nun who taught Art
at my high school, who called me a stupid mongrel,
understood this very fact long before I did.
Profession, family, belief: I can see now
my background challenges me, prevents me
from remaining true to only one thing. The fog,
settled over Ocean Beach, settles the matter
by embracing everything indiscriminately,
and I want to understand why I notice
such things. For most of my life, I have desired
a category, a designation, but maybe
that desire was misplaced? Maybe it was just
another failure, a failure of imagination?
Outside, two hummingbirds cross-stitch the air.
They have lived here for so long, lived
off the “nectar” I boil up for them each week,
that they show me no semblance of fear or distrust—
they hover and feed near me with violent precision.
Sometimes
( Sheenagh Pugh )
Sometimes things don’t go, after all,
from bad to worse. Some years, muscadel
faces down frost ; green thrives ; the crops don’t fail.
Sometimes a man aims high, and all goes well.
A people sometimes will step back from war,
elect an honest man, decide they care
enough, that they can’t leave some stranger poor.
Some men become what they were born for.
Sometimes our best intentions do not go
amiss ; sometimes we do as we meant to.
The sun will sometimes melt a field of sorrow
that seemed hard frozen ; may it happen for you.
