An interesting fact about the nature of Oman is that it hosts one of the largest canyons in the world, Wadi Shab. This spectacular gorge is located in the coastal region of Al Sharqiyah and offers incredible natural landscapes with waterfalls, natural pools, and hidden coves. Wadi Shab is also famous for its rich flora and fauna, with numerous species of birds, reptiles, and mammals living in the surrounding area. Additionally, the canyon is known for its unique variety of plants, including Rhus, Limonium, and Pulicaria, which are only found in this part of the world. 🏜

This is an Ebony Langur monkey. It is most commonly glossy black with a brownish tinge to its legs, sides, and “sideburns”. It is found on the island of Java, as well as on several of the surrounding Indonesian islands. The Latin word auratus in its scientific name means “golden”, and refers to a less common color variant. 🐒
