When it pumps, it doesn't even need an hour to erase the entire gain and in fact goes further down. It's just frustrating. Look i understand when the market is down. But when the market was good, this doesn't move either

We don’t have this comparison readily available at the moment, but you can check this Dune query which has staking data going back two years on a day-by-day basis.

I think there’s some confusion, so let me break it down clearly:
1. The yield for staking OGN comes from protocol fees.
2. Those protocol fees are used to buy back OGN from the market.
3. The OGN bought back is then distributed as rewards to OGN stakers.
4. Right now, the variable staking APY is around 14%, but it can increase if our products generate more fees over time.
Staking had a different system back then, but since the buyback program was implemented with 100% of the fees going toward it, things have changed significantly. That was introduced last July, so it hasn’t even been a full year yet.

No, it depends on fees generated by our products.
So if protocol fees increase, APY will increase along with it.
It’s not really comparable to a traditional bank investment account, where your deposit is managed through money markets or other financial products in exchange for a fixed or guaranteed return.
When you stake OGN, you’re effectively participating in the ecosystem itself. Your stake helps support governance and aligns you with the protocol, and in return you earn yield generated from actual protocol fees and ecosystem activity not guaranteed interest.
Nothing your OGN isn’t used by the project or anything.
The interest payed is directly tied to the fees our products generate.
With your staked OGN you can participate in governance and share part of the fees.

Yeah, in my opinion the Clarity Act will definitely be a positive for crypto, especially for projects building useful products with real product market fit.
It’ll be interesting to see the full implications and extent of the law, so there’s definitely a lot to be excited about. We’re keeping a close eye on it at Origin.
Yeah I hear you. Buybacks were set up to create consistent demand for OGN, about 13% of circulating supply has been bought back so far.
That said, I still believe Origin’s fundamentals, both in terms of products and OGN’s position within the ecosystem, are at their strongest. It’s just a matter of time before the market reflects that again.
I understand the frustration, I’m an OGN holder too. But if you zoom out and compare OGN to other DeFi tokens in the same category, most of them haven’t performed well against BTC over the past year either.
The fundamentals are still there. Market cycles and price rotation are outside of our control. What is in our control is execution, and Origin has been shipping at a strong pace with new products that are genuinely pushing the LST space forward, especially innovations like the ARM.
You have every right to be upset with the current market conditions, but calling it market manipulation just spreads unnecessary FUD.
