Read the following passage and answer the questions below it.
The evidence is crystal clear: physical activity is great for children. Researchers around the world agree that young people who are active have better brain function, higher self-esteem, more motivation and better school performance.
During the school day, children do not need to exercise for long periods of time. A review of studies published in 2011 found that short bursts of physical activity - 10 minutes or less - increased pupils’ attention in the classroom. Children who took short breaks for physical activity also performed better in school and displayed lower stress levels and better moods.
What about linking physical activity with teaching? A review published in 2015 found that when children learn while moving their bodies, they perform significantly better on standardised tests. There are all sorts of examples of how to make this happen, such as doing jumping jacks while spelling words.
Do the statements below agree with the views expressed in the passage? Answer YES, NO or NOT GIVEN.
Don't rush while doing IELTS reading practice
Today, I have done a reading practice test with my student and found 34 correct answers. I found out that the mistakes I made were due to my rush and wish to finish the third reading passage faster. I was sure that I had not been wrong with any answer I wrote for the questions of first two passages. So, I had 26 correct answers. Yet I lost my confidence in passage three as I could not concentrate on the statements and the passage itself. I only had heading and YES/NO/NOT GIVEN questions to finish the reading practice. I first tried to find answers for YES/NO/NOT GIVEN questions without my full attention. I was just reading and speculating the answers. Something in my mind told me that it might be a correct choice for each question. At last, I was done with them and continued with headings. So, when we checked the answers I found out that the times I was rushing to answer the questions caused me to make 6 mistakes.
Hint: If you have survided two passages, put your all effort and energy not to make any mistakes on the third one. Think of you getting an IELTS Test Report Form first with a reading band score of 9.0 and then 6.5. Yes, yes, yes! This is what you miss if you do not concentrate! Be alert! @mockTashkent
