First layer is always to find a fake payment first. Eg scb income tax facility or Uob payment facility

Second layer is to then use a real payment facility to reduce the monthly instalment to third layer size.

Third layer is to use Uob one tax payment facility to pay at 6% cash rebate. The target amount here is $834.

This way u can potentially triple dip income tax payment.

That being said I stopped doing the third layer as I feel Uob one account even with the 6% tax payment giro rebate is not worth it. (Pseudo $150k fixed deposit).

1. Login to IRAS, setup a GIRO plan for latest NOA
2. Get the giro payment plan PDF downloaded from IRAS
3. Go into Cardup, setup recurring payment. You will be prompted to upload your GIRO payment plan PDF, monthly payment by cardup cannot exceed mthly payment stipulated in GIRO payment plan
4. Cardup recurring payment always pays X+1 giro cycle in X, i.e. an Apr'26 cardup recurring payment pays to the GIRO cycle for May'26 and reduces the quantum deducted from bank acct on 6 May'26 by IRAS via GIRO
