On April 27, 2023, MDIS Tashkent held a Spring Career Fair for its graduates and students. The major objective of the event was to help employers locate eligible candidates among Institute graduates and students who matched the visiting organization's profile.
Over 70 organizations representing different sectors of the economy attended the fair. The schedule included a number of events, such as job and internship interviews and recruitment presentations, where MDIS Tashkent students and graduates could apply for jobs with national and international businesses that operate in the fields of industrial management, banking and finance, accounting, business and marketing, tourism and hospitality management, and business and enterprise management.

TSMRIning innovatsion trening dasturi turizm sektorida rivojlangan xorijiy mamlakatlarning turizm va mehmondoʻstlik sohasidagi yetakchi taʼlim muassasalarining oʻqitish uslublariga asoslangan. Mazkur trening turizm va mehmondoʻstlik yoʻnalishi boʻyicha yuqori malakali oʻqituvchilari tomonidan olib borildi.
Treningdan ko‘zlangan asosiy maqsad tuman turizm sohasi mutaxassislari orasida bilim va xabardorlik darajasini oshirish, shuningdek xizmat ko‘rsatish sohasini boshqarishda malakalarini kengaytirishdan iborat bo‘ldi.

MDIS Tashkent welcomed guests from KPMG.
KPMG representatives met with students and made a presentation about accounting advisory services at KPMG and the benefits of career advancement in the Big Four companies. During the meeting, students had a chance to learn more about the company, its advantages over its competitors, and the recruitment process for students and graduates. The session was followed by a quiz where students were bestowed prizes from KPMG.

On March 30, 2023, MDIS Tashkent conducted online training for the academic staff of the Margilan Tourism and Cultural Heritage College.
The innovative MDIS Tashkent training program was based on the teaching methods of the leading educational institutions in the field of tourism and hospitality in foreign countries with developed tourism sectors.
The training has been conducted by MDIS Tashkent School of Tourism and Hospitality representative, Ms. Shakhnozakhon Fakhritdinova, and consisted of two sessions: "Food and Beverage: Restaurant Activity" and "Housekeeping: Room Management."
The main purpose of the training was to improve the skills of college academic staff and enhance their knowledge of service management.

On March 1, 2023, MDIS Tashkent welcomed a new Rector.
Dr. Ilkhom Mamatkulov holds his DSc in Economics from the Institute of Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a PhD in Economics from the University of Aberdeen (UK), and a Master's degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Wales (UK). He received his bachelor's degree in economics from Westminster International University in Tashkent.
Dr. Ilkhom Mamatkulov started his career as a lecturer at the Tashkent Banking College in 2010, and from 2011–2013, he continued his career at MDIS Tashkent. From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Mamatkulov taught at the University of Aberdeen, UK, and then continued working at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan as an Associate Professor and the Head of Department.
From 2018–2023, Dr. Ilkhom Mamatkulov held the positions of Head of Department at the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and Head of Department at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he gained his expertise in macroeconomic analysis, structural reforms, and proficiency as the Head of the Secretariat of the Financial and Banking System, Public Assets Management, Competition Development, Entrepreneurship Support, and Poverty Reduction Issues.
Dr. Ilkhom Mamatkulov is the author of more than 20 scientific works, articles, and theses and has participated in a number of republican and international economic conferences.
He has worked on programs for the development of sectors and regions, the strategy of socio-economic development of the Republic of Uzbekistan by 2030, as well as projects for the privatization and transformation of state assets, public-private partnerships, the development of competition, and the financial market directly involved in the issue.

MDIS Tashkent hosted a presentation on iodine deficiency states, where the specialists from the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Endocrinology Center explained how it develops, how it manifests itself, and how to prevent iodine deficiency. Detailed explanations were given about the anatomy and functions of the thyroid gland, how iodine accumulates in the soil, what foods contain iodine, iodine metabolism in the body, and what should be done to prevent iodine deficiency conditions.
The lecturers also gave short information about diabetes mellitus, the role and function of the pancreas in the development of the disease, its types, and what conditions precede its development. Also, the guests talked about the increase in disease incidence in young people after a COVID infection and how to prevent the development of metabolic disorders in a young body.

On April 14, MDIS Tashkent hosted a meeting to discuss the upcoming nationwide referendum.
The tagline for the event was "The Constitution is mine, yours, and ours!" The discussion was led by Kudryavtcev Igor Vladimirovich, a visiting Professor from Tashkent State Law University, and students and employees were given the opportunity to learn about key events that the national referendum is anticipated to bring.

On March 17, 2023, MDIS Tashkent held a festive celebration of Navruz.
The institute's rector, Dr. Ilkhom Mamatkulov, heartily welcomed guests, staff, and students and wished everyone a happy Navruz.
The traditional food festival, where Foundation Year students decorate festive tables, was followed by a Student Cover Club concert and a live performance by the National Institute of Arts and Culture. Pilav and other delicious refreshments were served to students, staff, and guests. All exceptiinal futsal and table tennis players were awarded medals, certificates, and trophies.
It is significant to mention that the occasion was given a special spring taste by our national delicacies, such as sumalak, pilav and ko'k somsa.
On March 9, 2023, MDIS Tashkent student and Business Incubation Centre resident Shakhzod Eshtemirov presented his new startup project, "Students Platform."
During the event, Shakhzod shared his experience in launching a startup.
