Marine Drive, also known as APJ Abdul Kalam Marg, is a picturesque promenade in Kochi, India. It is built facing the backwaters, and is a popular hangout for the local populace. Despite its name, no vehicles are allowed on the walkway. Marine Drive is also an economically thriving part of the city of Kochi. With several shopping malls it is as an important centre of shopping activity in Kochi. Major fast food joints, including Marrybrown, DiMark, Coffee Bar are present along the walkway. The view of the setting and rising sun over the sea mouth, and the gentle breeze from the Vembanad Lake has made Marine Drive an important tourist destination in Kochi. Hundreds of people (both natives, and tourists) throng the walkway during the evenings. The walkway starts from the High Court Junction and continues until the Rajendra Maidan. There are also several boat jetties along the walkway. The walkway has three bridges: the Rainbow bridge, the Chinese Fishing Net Bridge and the House Boat Bridge.

Devikulam is a Grama Panchayat and small hill station of about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from Munnar in the Idukki District of Kerala State, India. It lies 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) above sea level. The name Devikulam is a conjunction of the words Devi, from the goddess Devi and kulam, meaning pond. According to legend, the goddess Sita Devi of the Ramayana epic bathed in the beautiful Devikulam lake waters surrounded by lush, green hills, now named Sita Devi Lake. VELLAYANI LAKE

Shoranur Junction is the railway station located at Shoranur, Palakkad District, Kerala. It comes under the Palakkad Railway Division of the Southern Railway. It is the largest railway station in the state of Kerala in terms of area. It is an important junction because it is the point at which the line from Chennai via Jolarpettai, Erode and Palakkad meets the coastal line from Mangalore to Kanyakumari. Further, Shoranur junction is the node from which a separate Branch line goes to the town of Nilambur, about 66 km to the north. The Nilambur–Shoranur line, which connects two tiny hill-towns, is one of the most picturesque in India.
The station is situated at the junction of four major railway lines – the Nilambur line from the north, Palakkad line from the east, Kanyakumari line from the south and Mangalore line from the North-west. Being the entry point into the Malabar region from the rest of the state, Shoranur is often referred as the gateway to Malabar. It comes under the Palakkad Railway Division of the Southern Railway. Shoranur is the second railway station in Kerala after Trivandrum Central railway station to introduce Clean train station activity, whereby trains stopping at the station for more than 15 minutes would be subjected to mechanized cleaning and garbage removal.

Feroke, is a Municipality and a part of Kozhikode metropolitan area under Kozhikode Development Authority (K.D.A) in the Kozhikode district of the Indian state of Kerala.Feroke municipality shares the border with Kozhikode corporation, Ramanattukara municipality and kadalundi panchayat. Ramakkalmedu is a hill station and a hamlet in Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala. Kilimanoor is a panchayat and a town in the Chirayinkeezhu taluk of Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala, India. It is located on MC/SH 1 Road, 33 kilometres (21 mi) North-west of the city of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), 14 km (8.7 mi) east of Attingal and 20 km (12 mi) east of Varkala.
Kilimanoor ("land of the bird and the deer") was ruled by a Pillai ruling chief and was forfeited to Travancore by Maharaja Marthanda Varma. The estate comprising several villages was then handed over to the family of the father of the King who had come south from Parappanad in Malabar around 1718. Kilimanoor was ruled by a chief during time of the Ettuveetil Pillamar in the kingdom of Travancore. The chief rebelled against the Maharajah Marthanda Varma, and the region was annexed and later given to the Royal House of Kilimanoor.

Chembra Peak (Chembra Mala) is a mountain in the state of Kerala, India, with an elevation of 2,100 m (6,890 ft) above sea level. The highest peak in the Wayanad hills and one of the highest peaks in the Western Ghats, adjoining the Nilgiri Hills and Vellarimala, it is located in the Wayanad district of Kerala, near the town of Meppadi and 8 km (5 mi) south of Kalpetta.
Visits to the peak are organized by the "Chempra Peak VSS" under the control of the South Wayanad Forest Development Agency; guides are provided for trekking. Malabar Cements Limited is an Indian cement company. It is among the largest public sector cement production undertakings. State Central Library of Kerala is also known as Trivandrum Public Library. It is in the center of Thiruvananthapuram city, the capital of Kerala. Malankara dam is a gravity dam constructed across Thodupuzha river for irrigation purposes. The dam is constructed to make use of the tail water from the Moolamattom power house. The project is run under the Constructed across the Thodupuzha river which is tributary to the Muvattupuzha river, for the purpose of irrigation, this reservoir is also a tourism spot. This artificial lake is located near to the Thodupuzha – Moolamattom Road (State Highway 33) covering an area of around 11 square km. The reservoir is ideal for boating and fishing. Unlike the Idukki and Cheruthoni dams, the Malankara dam is open to tourists round the year. Also a park is under construction nearby to the reservoir covering an adjacent 15 acre island.Muvattupuzha Valley Irrigation Project and KSEB. The Kakkad Hydroelectric Power Plant is located near Seethathode, in the Pathanamthitta district of the Indian state of Kerala. It is operated by the Kerala State Electricity Board.
This hydropower plant has a design capacity of 50 MWe. It has 2 turbines, commissioned in 1998 and 1999.The project is in the second stage of development. The installed capacity is 50 MW (2 x 25MW). This scheme utilizes the tail race water from Sabarigiri power station and water from the Moozhiyar and Velluthode rivers. Two dams store water for the powerhouse. The main reservoir is on the Moozhiyar. The second reservoir is formed by the Veluthodu dam, across the Velluthode river. After generating power, water is released to the Kakkad River. Ullunkal and Karikkayam power stations use this water for power generation and then release it into the Maniyar reservoir for power generation at the Maniyar power station.

Amrita Hospital, formely known as Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a tertiary care centre based in Kochi, India attached to Amrita University school of medicine. Lulu Mall, is a shopping mall located in Edappally, Kochi, Kerala. Spanning 17 acres (6.9 ha), it is one of the largest malls in India with a total built up area of 171,870.624 m² (1,850,000.00 sq ft) and a retail space of 57,600 m² (620,000 sq ft). It contains nearly 300 outlets, including food courts, restaurants, family entertainment zones, a multiplex, ice skating rink, gaming arena, beauty parlors, a toy train joy ride and bowling alley. The mall was opened in March 2013 by then Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Oommen Chandy.
The entire project, consisting of the shopping mall with four customized shopping levels and a 5-star hotel, was designed by the UK based architectural firm Atkins. The construction contract of the project was awarded to Shapoorji Pallonji, an Indian conglomerate. Pamba Dam is a gravity dam built on the Pamba river in the Ranni forest area of Seethathodu panchayat in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India. It was built in 1967 as part of the Sabarigiri Hydroelectric Project. Sabarigiri Hydro Electric Project (IHEP) is the second largest hydro electric project in Kerala. Pamba dam's reservoir is connected to the nearby Kakki dam's reservoir by a 3.21 km (1.99 mi) long underground tunnel. The dam is 281 m (922 ft) long and 57.2 m (188 ft) high and is located at an elevation of 981.45 m (3,220.0 ft) above sea level. The dam is located in a forest area adjacent to the Periyar National Park. The water stored in the Pamba and Kakki dams is conveyed to the Sabarigiri powerhouse through penstock pipes. The dam was commissioned in 1967.

Banasura Sagar Dam, which impounds the Karamanathodu tributary of the Kabini River, is part of the Indian Banasurasagar Project consisting of a dam and a canal project started in 1979. The goal of the project is to support the Kakkayam Hydro electric power project and satisfy the demand for irrigation and drinking water in a region known to have water shortages in seasonal dry periods. The dam is also known as Kuttiyadi Augmentation Main Earthen Dam. The dam has a height of 38.5 metres (126 ft) and length of 685 metres (2,247 ft).
