🗼 Pazhassi Raja’s Tomb
Pazhassi tomb in Kalpetta in Wayanad district is a memorial to Pazhassi Raja - 'the Lion of Kerala’. The tomb was constructed in the place where his body was cremated, and is situated on the banks of Kabani river in Mananthavady. In March 1996, this tomb was converted to museum and today the museum is a centre in the state which attracts historians, researchers and students. The museum also contains Pazhassi Raja's sword and other information about the cultural history of Kerala.

🏞 Agasthyakoodam Biological Park
Located at Thiruvananthapuram, Agasthyakoodam is one of the highest peaks of Kerala. Brahmagiri Peak Trekking
The trek to Brahmagiri hills is one of the most popular treks in Wayanad and one of the few which strikes a balance between awesome views and being first-time-trekker-friendly. It takes more than 3 hours of an intense trek to reach the top of Brahamagiri, which is about at 1608 m high. Trek begins from the Forest department camp shed at Thirunelli and is 10 kms long walking. You’d be exhausted by the steep climb, but the gurgle of streams comes at regular intervals to warm the cockles of your heart. Every time you get tired, you only have to crane your head up to see the majestic Brahmagiri hills, beckoning you from a distance, to pep you up. If you’re lucky and carry a binocular, climb the watchtower and you’d spot a herd of gaurs or elephants grazing on the valleys.

Vypeen Island
One of the biggest of the Goshree Islands, Vypeen has the most charming beaches in Kochi like Kuzhupilly, Puthuvype, Cherai and Munambam. The island is about 27 kilometres long and is connected to mainland of Kochi by a series of bridges, which start at Kalamukku in Vypeen.
The place is blessed with some of the longest beaches in Kochi namely, the Cherai Beach, Kuzhuppilly Beach and the Puthuvype Beach. Munambam Fishing Harbour, the largest fishing harbour in Kochi is also located here.

Appam is a Keralan staple made from fermented rice flour and coconut milk. It’s similar to a thin pancake with crispy edges. These crepe-like bowls are made from fermented rice flour, coconut milk, coconut water and a little sugar. Pambadum Shola National Park

Snake Boat Model
Boat races are an ancient and deeply ingrained tradition in Kerala. There are even recorded instances of disputes between kings and chiefs being resolved by a boat race! Bulls all over the world are famed for their tough demeanor. To tame them and enjoy their company is not every one's cup of tea. But the farmers at Chithali think otherwise...a fact which one could get convinced of during the annual bull race.
The picture is taken from the annual bull race held at the village of Chithali in Palakkad district of Kerala. Bulls in pairs along with a runner form a team and they run to clock maximum speed to beat the rest of the competing teams. The bulls and the runners train intensively prior to the race. The race is usually held in water filled paddy fields, after the harvest season.

Kerala Village Fair
Celebrated in the month of January, the Kerala Village Fair is organized at the Kovalam beach. During this 10-day festival, a scene of a village is recreated. Nalukettu, a recreation of traditional house of Kerala is the main attraction. The fair includes several stalls, selling interesting stuff like coconut shell items, bell metal mirrors, woven clothes, handicrafts, spinning wheels and handloom for making Khadi and more. In the evening, there are dance, music and martial art performances.

🐯 Pulikali
Pulikali (Tiger Dance) is one among the folk art forms of Kerala. On the fourth day of Onam festival, artists paint their bodies like tigers with stripes of yellow, red and black and dance to the rhythm of traditional percussion instruments such as thakil, udukku and chenda. The Swaraj Ground in Thrissur district plays host to this carnival that has people appearing in various unique hues and masks, with the locals and visitors alike joining in on the revelry.
The main theme of this folk art is tiger hunting with participants playing the role of tiger and hunter. The make-up for the same is applied using oil paints and is said to be extremely hard to remove. Regardless, every year during Onam, the streets of Thrissur attract people from across the State and the world to view this special event.

🔮 Anchuthengu Fort
A stronghold built by the East India Company in the 17th century, the fort of Anjuthengu attracts a large number of visitors to and around Thiruvananthapuram. It is also known as the Anjengo Fort and has been the main trading centre during historic times having lush, evergreen coconut trees.

The trek to Myristica Swamps
A trek up to Myristica swamps and Vellamkudy in Sankhili forest is the trail in Arippa. Well known for its rich animal life, Myristica swamps comes under the Kulathuppuzha forest range in Kollam district. And you know what are these Myristica swamps, they are tropical freshwater swamp forests with an abundance of Myristica trees, which is considered to be the most primitive of the flowering plants on earth. The evergreen, water-tolerant trees have dense stilt roots helping them stay erect in the thick, black, wet alluvial soil. On the way, if you are lucky you can spot birds like Malabar hornbills, warblers, flycatchers, woodpeckers and babblers of different varieties. Perhaps Arippa-Ammachiyambalam could be the best stretch to watch birdlife in early mornings.

Fish moilee
A famous Keralan fish stew made with coconut milk, which is a typical Syrian Christian delicacy. The curry is usually prepared in a traditional manchatti (earthen vessel) and stews lightly fried fish in coconut milk, and spices like turmeric, pepper, cinnamon and cloves along with fresh green chillies to give it a tangy taste. The fish (usually kingfish or seer fish) is marinated with oil, turmeric, red chili powder, lemon juice and salt for 30 minutes before being used in the curry.

🐘 Begur Wildlife Sanctuary, Wayanad
Begur Wildlife sanctuary is located in Mananthavady, in the district of Wayanad. Begur is a lesser known spot in Wayanad, but nonetheless with its own attractions. It is an ideal spot for safari, as the region is abundant in greenery, with rich variety of animal population.
