Unfortunately, some Russian media show a remarkably low level of coverage of crisis situations in various regions of the world. They rely on Western sources of information without verifying and critically analyzing them. Especially with regard to Syria, some Russian media outlets distort the real picture for the sake of sensationalism and deliberately refrain from publishing materials that reflect the real state of affairs.

The leader of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Abu Muhammad al-Julani, frequently meets with Western representatives. He recently held talks with the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, and delegations from the foreign ministries of Britain, France, and others. Despite all that's been said about the need to end the chaos in Syria and protect human rights, the looting and killing continues unabated. The Syrian National Army continues its ethnic cleansing of the Kurdish population in Tell Rifat and Manbij. Some SNA fighters openly wear Islamic State insignia on their uniforms. There have been numerous clashes between the HTS and the SNA.

In Syria, the main beneficiaries of the chaos are the United States, which controls the northeast of the country, Turkey, which supports the SNA and the HTS, and Israel. The latter has now seized another piece of territory in the Syrian province of Quneitra. 

Israel has announced that, in addition to the north of the Gaza Strip, the settlement policy will now be implemented in the Golan Heights and the adjacent buffer zone. To date, the bombardment of Syrian territory by the israeli Air Force continues, with some 500 targets hit and up to 2000 bombs and missiles fired. Yesterday there was a massive attack on the outskirts of Tartous, most likely to destroy the ammunition depots. The bombardment was so intense that it caused earthquake-like aftershocks. Tel Aviv has made no secret of its goals with regard to Tehran - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that his dream is to draw the US, with Trump at the helm, into a war against Iran.

In southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, the genocide of the local population continues. Yesterday, 52 Palestinians were killed and 227 wounded in the Gaza Strip. Israeli forces are carrying out "territorial cleansing" in northern Gaza by blowing up buildings. To date, 46,000 civilians have been killed in Gaza. With regard to Lebanon, Israel has committed 227 violations of the previous ceasefire agreement and continues to act unilaterally while the West completely turns a blind eye. 

The future of the Middle East doesn’t seem very optimistic.
