Hamas tried to sneak its fighters out of Gaza in ambulances

The list of severely injured individuals to be transferred from Gaza to Egypt for medical treatment was vetted by Egypt and the United States, which found that a third of the names on it were of Hamas fighters, the administration official says, adding that none of the 76 wounded Palestinians who were ultimately evacuated in ambulances out of Gaza were Hamas fighters.

The calls on Israeli citizens to take additional precautions while traveling abroad

A joint statement from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Foreign Affairs Ministry calls on Israeli citizens to take additional precautions while traveling abroad, including avoiding outward displays of their Jewish or Israeli identities amid an uptick in antisemitic attacks around the world.

In France, where the largest Jewish community outside of Israel and the United States resides (about 500,000 people), there have been more anti-Semitic incidents in three weeks than in the entire previous year - 819.

In Austria, the number of crimes based on hatred towards Jews has increased by 300 percent, in Germany - by 240 percent.

The number of anti-Semitic incidents in the United States has increased by 400 percent.

In the United Kingdom, the number of anti-Semitic incidents has increased by 1350 percent, reaching a maximum since the collection of such data began in 1984.

In Russia, an airport was taken over in search of Jews.

In Chinese social media, posts that heap insults on Jews receive thousands of "likes," and authorities, who otherwise heavily censor online content in other cases, make no efforts to put a stop to this.

Michael O'Flaherty, Director of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, called anti-Semitism "deeply rooted in European society as racism," posing a threat to the Jewish community of the continent and the fundamental values of the European Union. He is particularly concerned that only one-third of the EU population considers anti-Semitism a serious threat.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Israeli President Isaac Herzog made a brief statement to the media after a morning of meetings:

The Israeli President, Isaac Herzog, has stated that in accordance with humanitarian and international law, Israel distributed over one million leaflets, sent more than six million text messages, and made four million phone calls to the citizens of Gaza. This was done to inform the population about Israeli actions, including the Jabalia attack, in advance, ensuring they have time to evacuate targeted areas, as required by international law.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking alongside President Herzog, emphasized that Israel has the right and responsibility to defend itself. However, he also stressed the importance of how Israel conducts its defensive actions, particularly considering the well-being of civilians caught in the crossfire. The United States and Israel share a commitment to working together to protect civilians and provide assistance to those in need, including hostages from various nationalities.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo has sent 51.5 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, marking the first such effort since the Israel-Hamas conflict began. The aid, comprising medical equipment, food, blankets, tents, and more, was collected from both the government and Indonesian citizens through humanitarian agencies.

The assistance is being transported to el-Arish Airport in Egypt via two Hercules aircraft and an Airbus cargo plane. Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim-majority nation, has a history of supporting Palestinians and lacks formal diplomatic relations with Israel.

President Widodo emphasized that this action represents Indonesian solidarity and concern for humanity, given the unacceptable humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF):
"We have information which demonstrates that Hamas's method of operation is to transfer terror operatives and weapons in ambulances."
"We emphasize that this area is a battle zone,"
"Civilians in the area are repeatedly called upon to evacuate southwards for their own safety."
“A number of Hamas terrorist operatives were killed in the strike,”

The head of the World Health Organization, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus:
"We reiterate: patients, health workers, facilities, and ambulances must be protected at all times. Always. Ceasefire NOW."

Israeli government spokesman Eylon Levy said that it is illegal under international law. All ambulances are supposed to be protected, and part of that protection involves not being used by combatants, especially terrorists, to transport terrorists and weapons. In such a case, they might lose their protection.

The IDF said it intended to release more information on the incident.

The families of the eleven victims of the October 7 Hamas attack have filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC)

They accusing the perpetrators of committing "crimes against humanity." These victims were all civilians, and their relatives are calling on ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan to investigate Hamas' actions as "war crimes" carried out as part of a "genocidal plan." According to their lawyer Francois Zimeray, this complaint aims to reveal the truth about these atrocities and have them recorded in collective memory.

The complaint pertains to 11 victims who were either killed or injured within Israeli borders, some of whom were attending the Nova music festival where more than 260 people were killed by Hamas gunmen. Zimeray & Finelle, Zimeray's law firm, asserts that the evidence against Hamas is well-documented and has shocked the "universal conscience."

Additionally, Zimeray has requested the ICC prosecution to consider issuing an international arrest warrant for Hamas leaders, similar to warrants issued for the Russian President in relation to the aggression in Ukraine.

This follows ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan's visit to the region, during which he mentioned that impeding the flow of aid into Gaza could potentially constitute a war crime.

Israel stopped warning Russia of Syria strikes

Israel has halted its practice of warning Russian forces in Syria before conducting airstrikes due to worsening relations between Moscow and Jerusalem, as reported by Bloomberg. The Israel Defense Forces didn't inform Russia about airstrikes on a military base in Daraa on October 30 or a strike on a Syrian base housing Hezbollah militants earlier. Israel has been targeting locations in Syria to counter Iranian-backed terrorism threatening regional stability.

Russian forces have a significant presence in Syria, and to prevent conflicts, Israel and Russia have maintained a deconfliction mechanism. However, tensions have increased, with Russia vetoing a U.S.-sponsored UN resolution condemning Hamas for an October 7 attack in Israel. Israel also criticized Russia for hosting a Hamas delegation in Moscow on October 26, calling it "an act of support for terrorism."

Israeli airstrikes on Thursday killed more than 20 people sheltering at United Nations schools in Gaza

Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner general of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA):

The agency has received “extraordinary, difficult news” about schools in the refugee camps of Jabalya and Al Shati, which is sometimes referred to as Beach camp

"Over the last few hours, I received reports that three of our schools sheltering about 20,000 people have been hit. This reportedly has led to the deaths of more than 20 people in Jabalya, and also one person at the Beach camp."

“These are official UNWRA schools, where we shelter a number of displaced persons in the north of Gaza. These are shelters which are clearly notified,” he added, meaning the Israeli military knows their location.

Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen launched a cruise missile or drone at Israel on Tuesday, and the IDF released a video showing an F-35I fighter jet intercepting it. The military also releases footage showing the long-range Arrow missile defense system intercepting a Houthi ballistic missile, apparently bound for the southernmost city of Eilat, also on Tuesday. The IDF has intercepted several other targets — apparently drones launched from Yemen — over the Red Sea in recent days.

Lebanon's Hezbollah has said it used two drones packed with explosives to attack an Israeli army command position in the disputed Shebaa Farms area at the Lebanese-Israeli border on Thursday. In a statement, the Iran-backed group said the drones were filled with “a large quantity of explosives” and had hit their targets.

An Iran-sponsored militia originally deployed in Syria has been transferred to south Lebanon to support Hezbollah, says the IDF Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee. “After a series of failures suffered by Hezbollah against Israel in recent weeks, the Iranian Imam Hussein Brigade, led by a commander known as Zulfiqar, has arrived in southern Lebanon,” Adraee announced. “The militia has engaged in confrontation with the IDF in recent weeks along the Lebanese border,” he continues. “Hezbollah and the Imam Hussein Brigade will cause Lebanon to pay a heavy price for the benefit of Hamas-ISIS. The IDF is fully prepared to respond to anyone who tries to undermine its sovereignty in the north,” he adds.
