Are some centralized server controlled systems better of than the decentralized version?
Will love to have that convo.
My opinion: Centralized controller would probably allow faster response to defects/problems and like it or not projects will have to agree on a certain standards to ensure safety precautions and maintain reliability. This would probably require audits by centralized organizations
Can probably achieve this via organizations like the IEEE or the IIC
or existing relevant government institution can probably assist with compliance
