and while we wait for devs to work on the issue, you can try this too
1) get the seed phrase of your wallet ready
2) download iopay from https://iopay.me » install » go through the wallet's creation process » tap the wallet's name » tap the + sign on the top right » Import An existing wallet
3) Tap on the Recovery Phrase
4) enter the seed phrase you obtained from your TrustWallet
5) Select HD Path: BIP44 Standard (IOTEX HD PATH: 304)
Network: IoTeX
And you can scroll down to see which address would have the correct balance and select it.
Click Next and you should be able to access the content of the Trust Wallet that you have just imported into iopay
You can then attempt to send again. If it fails, we'd have to wait for devs to fix . Don't wprry though, your IOTX is safe and we apologize for the inconvenience

No, you need to send from wallet that support the io address
You can send from Iopay wallet to Metamask wallet, there's option where you can get the EVM address of your io address in Iopay wallet there.
