This is the IoTeX 2.0 we are working on internally which basically position IoTeX as the modularized platform for DePIN projects to build, launch and grow. We are still scoping IoTeX 2.0 but it aims to solve most important problems in DEPIN, such as the lack of liquidity and the complicated tech-stack to build DEPIN projects.

crypto is really complex. I think we can probably go back to as early as the 90s if we are talking about history (of cryptocurrency)...and 30+ years, we've only arrived at this point. Sooner or later the understanding + innovation will accelerate imo

When I first saw https://depinscan.io, my first thought was, this could be like the dappradar website BUT specifically for DePIN. Maybe in the future, we could implement what dappradar is doing to allow users access to its pro features (a user would have to lock a certain amount of their tokens ~30k+ iirc), into depinscan.

So we have 3 methods to stake now

1) The normal native staking - rigid rules. So research and start low if you aren't sure. You can also use the search feature and search "Native Staking Tips" in this group, to see a list of tips that have been compiled

2) Liquid staking. We got 2 varieties at the moment. TLDR: When you start a stake using this method, you'll get receipt in the form of either tokens or NFT. This is a more flexible option when you want to liquidate your stake earlier than what you planned. The tokens can be swapped back to IOTX and the NFTs can be put up for sale.

Staking as NFT

How?
i) If you go to the Create A Stake section either inside your iopay mobile or on PC, you'll be presented with 2 options:

Native Staking and Staking as NFT.

When you pick the later, and you complete the whole process, you'll get an NFT that you can sell via Mimo exchange. If someone buys it, your stake will follow the NFT's new owner.

You can only choose preset amount and duration.

Bedrock Liquid Staking
You can access this using iopay mobile Dapp section » Bedrock or on PC you can go to this link https://app.bedrock.technology/uniiotx

Just follow the instruction and at the end, you'll get uniIOTX tokens.

No minimum amount to stake BUT can only unstake in multiple of 1 million. (i.e. 1 mil, 2 mil, 3 mill etc)

Don't worry though, you can swap the uniIOTX token back to IOTX via mimo exchange. Start low if you still aren't sure. No minimum. I tried staking 1 IOTX and swapped the uniIOTX that I received, back to IOTX with no problems. Additional fees are applicable.
