Utilize these remaining days of Ramadhaan to their optimum. We do not know if we will be alive for the next Ramadhaan or not.
Nooh عليه السلام prayed for his son, Ibraaheem عليه السلام prayed for his father, and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم prayed for his uncle, yet Allaah did not guide them towards Islaam. But Allaah guided us towards Islaam without we even asking for it. So, this is a great blessing and favor from Allaah.
Do not be deceived that you can repent tomorrow. No one knows what is written for him for tomorrow. Repent now and amend your ways. Turn to Allaah and establish the relationship of obedience and worship.
Today is the time for action, and on the Day of Resurrection, it will be the time for judgment and no action.
💠 The Duaa which the Prophet ﷺ used to recite in Sujood and Witr
aa al-Qunoot in Witr
Scholars have said that there are three times to supplicate with this supplication:
1️⃣ In Sujood
2️⃣ While concluding the Du
3️⃣ In the Tashahhud and before saying the Salaam in Salaah al-Witr
«اللهُمَّ أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ»
Allaahumma aoodhu bi-ridhaaka min sakhatik, wa bi-mu
aafaatika min uqoobatik, wa
aoodhu bika mink; laa uHsee thanaa’an alaik, anta kamaa athnaita alaa nafsik.
❝O Allaah! Indeed I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, in Your protection from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot offer You the praise You deserve; indeed, You are as the way You have praised Yourself.❞
🌴🌴🌴
🚫 Many people are satisfied with the little amount of worship they do, yet there will be Angels on the Day of Judgment who will say: ❝O Allaah! We did not worship You as You ought to have been worshiped.❞
🚫 And if ever you get amazed at your own actions and Ibaadah, and start feeling proud that you have fulfilled your duty, then remember that the BEST of creation (the Prophet ﷺ), in the BEST part (the last-third) of the night, in the BEST position (prostration), while doing the BEST action (Salaah), supplicated saying:
oodhu bi-ridhaaka min sakhatik, wa bi-mu
🔥 Remember that pride is from Shaitaan and that he is the one who misled our father Aadam

👉 Hadeeth #1:
Salmaan al-Faarisee رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺsaid: ❝The Scale will be placed on the Day of Judgment (for all to see) and were the heavens and the earth were (to be placed on it) to be weighed, it would still be spacious. The Angels will say: “O our Lord! Who will be weighed on this?” Allaah تعالى will say: {Whoever I wish from My creation}. The Angels will exclaim: “Glory be to You (O Allaah)! We have not worshiped You as You ought to have been worshiped.” The Siraat (Bridge) will be placed (across Hell) like the barrier of Moosaa (عليه السلام), the Angels will say: “Who will be permitted to go across this (successfully)?” Allaah تعالى will say: {Whoever I wish from My creation}. The Angels will exclaim: “Glory be to You (O Allaah)! We have not worshiped You as You ought to have been worshiped.”❞

👉 Hadeeth #2
On the authority of Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that 'Aaishah رضي الله عنها said: "I noticed the Prophet ﷺ was not there in the bed one night, so I started looking for him (at the spot where he prays) and my hand touched his feet and they were held upright, and he was prostrating and saying:
«اللهُمَّ أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ»
Allaahumma aaafaatika min
uqoobatik, wa aoodhu bika mink; laa uHsee thanaa’an alaik, anta kamaa athnaita alaa nafsik.
Alee Ibn Abee Taalib that the Prophet ﷺ used to say at the end of witr: ❝Allaahumma innee a
❝O Allaah! Indeed I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, in Your protection from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot offer You the praise You deserve; indeed, You are as the way You have praised Yourself.❞

👉 Hadeeth #3:
It was narrated from oodhu bi ridhaaka min sakhatika wa bi mu
aafaatika min uqoobatika, wa a
oodhu bika minka la uhsee thanaa'an alayka, anta kamaa athnaita
alaa nafsik❞ ( O Allaah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. And I seek refuge in You from You; I cannot praise You enough; You are as You have praised Yourself.)."
Part 4 / 4: Importance of teaching Tawheed and issues pertaining to Creed over other topics
Part 4: Double standards
If a person is an expert in swimming, will his children be Olympic champions by default?
Obviously No! Being a child of an expert swimmer does not make the child a good swimmer by default or by birth. The child maybe talented, but to become a good swimmer, he has to go through a lot of training and practice. The same goes for any other sports.
Similarly, is it not the case that even though a child is born in a Muslim family, he still needs to be taught on how to recite the Qur’aan? Is it not the case that he has to be taught about how to make Wudhu (ablution) and its nullifiers; prayer and its nullifiers, Fasting and its nullifiers? Is it not the case that he has to be taught about the rituals of Hajj and Umrah?
Aqeedah, which is the most important of them all? Why this laxation when it comes to teaching them Tawheed and what opposes it? Why this laxation in warning them against Shirk and the paths which lead towards it? Why this hypocritical statement that Muslims are in less need of learning the matters pertaining to
Then why this double standards when it comes to teaching the correct Aqeedah? A child cannot learn how to make Wudhu on his own, but you expect him to be upon correct
Aqeedah without teaching the right from the wrong?
Why do we keep forgetting the fact that the first 11 years of the Prophethood were spent by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in calling people towards Tawheed and warning them against Shirk and that the prayers and fasting were prescribed much later? Luqmaan عليه السلام started by teaching Tawheed to his son! The Companions رضي الله عنهم used to say that they were first taught Imaan before they were taught the Qur'aan!
Not everything is by default in this world. The example of the son of Nooh عليه السلام, the father was a Prophet while the son never accepted Islaam; or the example of Ibraaheem عليه السلام, the son was a Prophet while the father never accepted Islaam.
And the fact of the matter is, many people do not understand what Tawheed is, and that is why we see many people who are Muslim by name but Mushrik by action!
May Allaah guide us all to that which He loves and is pleased with; and may He keep us firm upon it.
Successful is the one to whom Allaah تعالى gives success:
Our going to the Masjid to establish the night prayers is not due to our own power and strength, rather it is due to the favor and blessing of Allaah upon us. For how many are there who are kept away from the Masaajid due to their work! And how many are there who waste their time on the streets and in their homes!
{That is the Grace of Allaah which He bestows on whom He wills.}
And He تعالى says:
{But few of My slaves are grateful.}
Be grateful to Allaah that He تعالى chose you to be among this "few" in this blessed month.
💠 The meaning of Itikaaf
tikaaf and what it reality entails: “Severing ties with the creation in order to connect with the Creator through service (i.e., worship and obedience) to Him.
🎓 Ibn Rajab
👉 The meaning of I
Every time the knowledge about the Lord, the love for Him and the closeness with Him grow stronger, the more it causes the person to completely cut himself off (from the creation in order to serve) Allaah سبحانه وتعالى.”
📚[Al-Lataaif al-Ma`aarif (1/191)]
8) He عليه السلام then asks them the question:
﴿يَا صَاحِبَيِ السِّجْنِ أَأَرْبَابٌ مُّتَفَرِّقُونَ خَيْرٌ أَمِ اللَّـهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ﴾
{“O two companions of the prison! Are many different lords (gods) better or Allaah, the One, the Irresistible?...”} [Surah Yusuf (12):39]
The question is not for them to answer in “yes” or “no” but for them to contemplate and ponder over what has just been said.
9) He عليه السلام further explains to them why Shirk is wrong and how it began:
﴿مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِهِ إِلَّا أَسْمَاءً سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُم مَّا أَنزَلَ اللَّـهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ ۚ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّـهِ﴾
{“…You do not worship besides Him except (mere) names which you have named (forged) - you and your fathers - for which no authority has been sent down by Allaah. The command (or the legislation or the judgment) is for none but Allaah (alone)…} [Surah Yusuf (12):40]
The things that people worship besides Allaah are things that they and their fathers have concocted. Allaah تعالى did not command them to do so nor do they have any proof to support their claim.
10) It is the command of Allaah that He alone should be worshiped, and no partners should be associated with Him, but most of the mankind knows not:
﴿أَمَرَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ﴾
{He has commanded that you worship none but Him, that is the (true) straight religion, but most men know not.”} [Surah Yusuf (12):40]
Since Allaah تعالى says that most of the mankind does not know, so then does it not becomes necessary that one should foremost teach the people about Tawheed and the correct `Aqeedah (Creed) because their success in the Hereafter depends upon this? And does it not become necessary that one should warn them against Shirk, which will lead people to eternal damnation?
***
Some may say that we have already read books on Creed and Tawheed, so it is not necessary to read them over and over again. Others may say that this incident was between Yusuf عليه السلام and two Kaafirs, and that is why he first began by teaching them Tawheed, as for those who are Muslims, then it is not necessary for them to go through these same steps.
In shaa Allaah, these doubts will be discussed in the second part.
There is not a person except that he is either afflicted with anxiety, or worry, or sorrow, or grief, or distress, or fear, or poverty. It is like almost saying that a person who has not suffered distress in this world will not enter Paradise. As Allaah تعالى said:
{Did you think that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, "When (will come) the Help of Allaah?" Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allaah is near!}
📚[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 214]
And He تعالى also said:
أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوا أَن يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ * وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ الْكَاذِبِينَ
{Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested. And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allaah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allaah knows all that before putting them to test).}
📚[Surah al-Ankaboot (29): 2-3]
ab bin Sa
As long as you are on this earth, you will be tested:
Musd narrated from his father that a man said: O Messenger of Allaah ﷺ! Which of the people is tried most severely? He ﷺ said: ❝The Prophets, then those nearest to them, then those nearest to them. A man is tried according to his religion; if he is firm in his religion, then his trials are more severe, and if he is frail in his religion, then he is tried according to the strength of his religion. The servant shall continue to be tried until he is left walking upon the earth without any sins.❞
aa (supplications).
📚[Sunan al-Tirmidhee (2398) and Sunan Ibn Maajah (4023) and graded as “Hasan-Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]
Only in Jannah will a person find true peace and relief from every calamity:
وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنَّا الْحَزَنَ ۖ إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ
{And (in Jannah) they will say: "All the praises and thanks be to Allaah, Who has removed from us (all) grief. Verily, our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).}
📚[Surah Faatir (35): 34]
👉So, during a calamity, seek Allaah’s help through Sabr (patience), Salaah (prayers), and Du
👉And strengthen your Imaan with regular recitation of the Qur’aan.
👉And seek nearness to Allaah through Fasting, Sadaqah (optional charity), feeding the poor, helping the destitute, etc.

And Umar Ibn al-Khaṭṭaab رضي الله عنه said: “They are those who when they read/hear the Aayaat of Raḥmah, seek mercy from Allaah; and when they read/hear the Aayaat of punishment, seek Allaah’s refuge.”
li-Ahkaam al-Qur'aan
The same has been reported from the Prophet ﷺ, that when he passed by the Aayah of Raḥmah, asked (Allaah) for it, and when he passed by the Aayah of punishment, sought (Allaah’s) refuge.
And Hasan (al-Baṣree) said: “They are those who implement its commandments; and believe in it (i.e. in the unclear Verses); and refer back to their scholars in that which they don’t understand.”
Some say that it (the Aayah) means to “read it as it should be read”, but this meaning is far (from being complete). Rather it means those who recite it properly (with Tajweed) and understand its meaning. Verily, if one understands its meaning, he will obey them, (those whom Allaah gives success).

Uthaymeen رحمه الله said (paraphrased):
❝8️⃣. All men go out early in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves.❞
📚[Saheeh Muslim (223)]
📑 Notes:
The statement of the Prophet ﷺ: ❝All men go out in the morning…❞ Meaning: In the morning, the very early part of the day.
❝and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves❞, every person who exerts himself in the obedience of Allaah and His worship, then he has taken the path of freeing himself from the punishment of the Hell-Fire by Allaah’s permission. And if he exerts himself in the obedience of Shaitaan, and chasing his desires, then it will destroy him, and he has embarked the path leading towards the Hell-Fire.
🌴🌴🌴
Shaikh Ibn al-
❝Every person starts his day in the morning with certain actions, as the nights are for resting:
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ
{It is He (Allaah), Who takes your souls by night (when you are asleep), and has knowledge of all that you have done by day, then he raises (wakes) you up again}
📚[Surah al-An`aam (6): 60]
The sleep that comes in the night is a minor death, in which the nerves are relaxed, and the body is rested and rejuvenated and is ready for another day of work. So, once it is morning – the early part of the day, people go out to work. The Believers proceed towards doing good deeds, whereas the disbelievers will proceed towards evil.
As for a (sincere) Muslim, the first thing he does after waking up in the morning is to perform Wudhoo (ablution), ❝Cleanliness is half of Imaan❞, as mentioned in this Hadeeth. Thereafter, he leaves to offer the Salaah. So, he begins his day with the worship of Allaah. He commences his day with good deeds. So, with Allaah’s permission, he has ransomed from the punishment.
❝or destroying themselves❞, meaning: the one who trades his soul and puts it into perdition. The disbelievers set out on the path of evil deeds - the path of destruction. They commence their day with disobedience to Allaah, even if they were to start their day with eating and drinking. (They have started their day without mentioning Allaah’s name), so, they will be punished for eating and drinking and will be made to account for it on the Day of Resurrection.
From the moment the disbeliever wakes up in the morning – and the refuge is with Allaah - he goes on trading his soul in what destroys it. As for the believer, he exchanges his soul with what expiates it and protects it from the Hellfire.
At the end of the Hadeeth the Prophet ﷺ categorized people into two groups:
The First: the Qur’aan will proof for them, and they liberate themselves by doing righteous deeds.
The Second: the Qur’aan will proof against them, and they destroy themselves by doing evil deeds.❞

Abu Dawood also said: It is reported that Ubayy Ibn Ka`b رضي الله عنه used to recite the supplication (in the witr) in the second half of Ramadhaan.
📚[Sunan Abu Dawood (1427)]
When Allaah intends to punish a person, He تعالى provides for him from the luxuries of the world, even if he was still sinning.
You would see the sinners earning in millions, having huge apartments, owning many buildings and towers, riding in luxurious cars ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars, having investments in this country and properties in that country, going on vacations, traveling around the world. He would be swimming in the all luxuries of the world possible.
One would be deceived to believe that Allaah is giving it to them because He loves them.
When Allaah loves a person, He تعالى withholds from him, so that he is made humble, weak, and needy. And in this state of weakness he is required to raise him hands towards Allaah in supplication to fulfill his needs. And then Allaah answers his supplications.
But when He تغالى wants to punish a person, He provides for him, and keeps providing for him, and in the midst of all this, He تعالى makes him suffer in all that which He has given him. The person with all the people around him still feels lonely; with all the luxuries with him still feels empty; with all the wealth with him still feels miserable.
And that nation, when they deviated from the path…
{So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded,} (6:44)
What should have been the outcome?! Did Allaah take away their luxuries and wealth?! NO!
{So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded, We opened to them the gates of every (pleasant) thing} (6:44)
Take and enjoy... but this joy was temporary...
{until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they were given} (6:44)
When they were intoxicated with the luxuries of this world and chasing their desires, and nothing of the Hereafter mattered to them…
{We took them to punishment, and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows.} (6:44)
{So the roots of the people who did wrong were cut off. And all the praises and thanks be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds.} (6:45)
May Allaah keep us humble and upon guidance.
Part 3 / 4: Importance of teaching Tawheed and issues pertaining to Creed over other topics
Part 3: A few points of benefits from the “Hadeeth of Ibn Abbaas”
Abbaas رضي الله عنهما was only ten years old when the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم passed away.

O Ghulaam (O young man)! Learn Tawheed, and know your Lord and worship Him upon that.
Ibn
📚[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5035)]
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم supplicated for him saying: ❝O Allaah, give him the understanding of the religion and teach him the interpretation (of al-Qur’aan).❞
📚[Musnad Ahmad (5/15 & 41) and Authenticated by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (2589). See also Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (75, 3756 & 7270)]
Scholars refer to Ibn Abbaas as: Ink of the Ummah, the ocean of knowledge, the jurist of his time, the Imaam of Tafseer.
Ibaadah, and Tawheed al-Ruboobiyah.
And look at what the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم taught him at that tender age:
❝O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be mindful of Allaah and Allaah will protect you. Be mindful of Allaah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, then ask Allaah [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from Allaah [alone]. And know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what Allaah had already prescribed for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what Allaah had already prescribed against you. The pens have been lifted, and the pages have dried.❞
📚[Sunan al-Tirmidhee (2516) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]
This Hadeeth sums up Tawheed in the most concise and beautiful way possible. In a few words, this Hadeeth defines Tawheed al-Asmaa was-Sifaat, Tawheed al-
👉 This is how one imparts knowledge to the young and the old!
👉 Teach them Tawheed!
👉 Teach them the things which have the highest priority in our Deen!
👉 Teach that which will benefit them the most in the Hereafter.
👉 THIS IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR!
🚫 Don’t waste their time with your parrot joke or your fabricated (poke-man) narration.
Do you know the reason why these days many "Celebrity" speakers have almost stopped talking about Tawheed and Aqeedah and resorted more to storytelling and other secondary issues:
Aqeedah do not gather big crowds in comparison to storytelling, so they choose the later – Allaahul-musta
Allaah تعالى says:
{ وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَهُ وَلَّوْا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورًا}
{And when you make mention of your Lord Alone [Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah (none has the right to be worshiped but Allaah - Tawheed)] in the Qur'aan, they turn on their backs, fleeing in extreme dislikeness.}
📚[Surah al-Israa' (17): 46]
For these "Celebrity" speakers , the topics on Tawheed and aan!
aat.
Some even believe that Tawheed divides the people, and that’s why they avoid speaking openly about it – and Allaah’s refuge is sought from this foolishness.
That’s the difference between Scholars and these "Celebrity" speakers. The scholars have always said: “Tawheed First!”, and that’s what they concentrate on the most.
May Allaah make us benefit from the scholars and to guide our Du

👉 During Ramaḍhaan, some people pray their optional prayer while reading from the Mus-haf (Qur’aan). But while in Rukoo` and Sujood, they still hold the Mus-haf in their hands, and that makes their action incomplete as they are not able to place both the palms on the ground while doing Sujood (prostration).

Part 1 / 4: Importance of teaching Tawheed and issues pertaining to Creed over other topics:
بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد
Ten points of benefits from the conversation between Yusuf عليه السلام and the two prisoners:
When the two prisoners came to Yusuf عليه السلام asking him to interpret their dreams for them, this is how he began:
1) The first thing Yusuf عليه السلام did was he attributed the knowledge of interpreting the dream to Allaah تعالى. He did not take the credit for that. Rather, he said, “I will inform you of its interpretation, but the knowledge is from Allaah and not my own”:
﴿ذَٰلِكُمَا مِمَّا عَلَّمَنِي رَبِّي﴾
{That is from what my Lord has taught me.} [Surah Yusuf (12): 37]
2) He عليه السلام then gave preference to informing the two prisoners more about Allaah before answering their question.
3) He began by freeing himself from Shirk (polytheism) and what the people of Egypt worshiped other than Allaah:
﴿إِنِّي تَرَكْتُ مِلَّةَ قَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّـهِ وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ﴾
{Indeed, I have left the religion of a people who do not believe in Allaah, and they, in the Hereafter, are disbelievers.} [Surah Yusuf (12): 37]
This is what we are taught in the first part of the Shahaadah (... لا إله) “There is none worthy of being worshiped…”
Yusuf عليه السلام disassociated himself from Shirk and the people who commit it, in the same way as Ibraaheem عليه السلام did with his people:
﴿وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ إِنَّنِي بَرَاءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ * إِلَّا الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهْدِينِ﴾
{And (remember) when Ibraaheem said to his father and his people: “Verily, I am disassociated from that which you worship, Except Him who created me; and indeed, He will guide me.”} [Surah al-Zukhruf (43): 27]
4) He عليه السلام informed them that he is not innovating in religion nor is he the first Prophet or Messenger; he is only following the way of his Salaf (the pious predecessors) from the Prophets and Messengers who preceded him (as mentioned earlier):
﴿وَاتَّبَعْتُ مِلَّةَ آبَائِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ﴾
{And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Ibraaheem, Is-haaq, and Ya`qoob.} [Surah Yusuf (12): 38]
Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم was commanded by Allaah تعالى to say:
﴿قُلْ مَا كُنتُ بِدْعاً مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ﴾
{Say: “I (Muhammad) am not a new thing among the Messengers…”} meaning: ‘I am not the first Messenger who ever came to the world. Rather, Messengers came before me. Therefore, I am not an unprecedented incident that should cause you all to reject me and doubt my being sent to you. Indeed, Allaah has sent before me all of the Prophets to various nations.’ [Tafseer Ibn Katheer]
5) Yusuf عليه السلام then affirms the worship for Allaah alone, affirming the second part of the Shahaadah (...
{And it was not for us to associate anything with Allaah (in worship).} [Surah Yusuf (12):38]
6) Yusuf عليه السلا also affirms that being guided towards Tawheed (worship of Allaah alone) and being saved from committing Shirk is the biggest favor of Allaah upon mankind:
﴿ذَٰلِكَ مِن فَضْلِ اللَّـهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى النَّاسِ﴾
{That is from the favor of Allaah upon us and upon the people} [Surah Yusuf (12):38]
[See Tafseer Ibn Katheer for more explanation on this Aayah]
There is no one who acquires a treasure more valuable than learning Tawheed, and no one gives Sadaqah (charity) better than teaching Tawheed. If Allaah تعالى can reward the prostitute generously and forgive her because she provided water to the thirsty dog, then there is no imagination of the reward which He تعالى will give to the one who guides the people towards Tawheed.
7) But most people are thankless, heedless, and careless of this great favor (as some don’t want to learn and some don’t want to teach):
﴿وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُون﴾
{but most of the people are not grateful.} [Surah Yusuf (12):38]
💠The levels of spending the last 10 Nights of Ramadhaan
🔊 Shaikh Saaleh al-Usaymee
aa, and Adhkaar, and I
There are 4 level of spending the last 10 nights of Ramadhaan, and these are according to their ranks:
1️⃣ The person spends the whole night in prayer, recitation of the Qur’aan, Dutikaaf in the Masjid. And this is the most complete form.
Ibaadah, and try to do as much prayer, recitation of the Qur’aan, Du
2️⃣ He spends the first part of the night (ie. After Ishaa) and the last part of the night in aa as possible.
Ibaadah.
3️⃣ To spend only the last part of the night in
4️⃣ To spend only the first part of the night in `Ibaadah (ie. after Ishaa).
👉 If a person cannot do the first one, then he should strive to do the second. If that is not possible, then he should try for the third, as prayers in the last part of the night is better than the prayers in the first part of the night.

2️⃣ Some posts on Duaa al-Istiftaah:
aa Al-Istiftaah
Part 2: Explanation Of The *FIRST* Du
🎓 By Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen

🌟 Ruling on Duaa al-Istiftaaḥ (Part 2)
aa al-Istiftaaḥ in every Rak
Presenter: A message from one of our listeners who is asking about reciting the Duah of al-Taraaweeḥ?
aa) al-Istiftaaḥ is prescribed for the Imaam and those in the congregation if it is possible. But (in al-Taraaweeḥ) if the Imaam immediately starts reciting after the Takbeer and does not recite al-Istiftaaḥ, those in the congregation should do the same and do not recite al-Istiftaaḥ – they should remain silent.
Shaikh Ibn Baaz: The (Du
Or if the Imaam has already started reciting and the follower did not do al-Istiftaaḥ, then he should not recite al-Istiftaaḥ, he should remain silent.
But if the Imaam recites al-Istiftaaḥ and the follower recites al-Istiftaaḥ, then this is the best, similar to how one does in the Obligatory prayers. This is better.
But if the Imaam does not recite al-Istiftaaḥ, and leaves out the Sunnah, there is no problem in that (the prayer is valid), because al-Istiftaaḥ is not obligatory, it is a Sunnah, recommended.
Likewise, if the Imaam rushes and recites al-Istiftaaḥ hurriedly, and the followers were late, and the follower did not recite al-Istiftaaḥ except when the Imaam already started reciting, then in this case, the follower should not recite al-Istiftaaḥ, but he should remain silent and listen to the recitation (of the Qur’aan).
But if he (the Imaam) recites (Surah) al-Faatiḥah, then all the followers should recite Surah al-Faatiḥah. It is obligatory for everyone to recite al-Faatiḥah. Even if the Imaam is reciting (any other Surah), then you, O follower, should recite al-Faatiḥah and then remain silent.
Because of the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: “Perhaps you recite behind your Imaam?” We replied: “Yes.” He ﷺ said: “Do not do so except for (Surah) al-Faatiḥah, for there is no Ṣalaah for one who does not recite it.”
The follower should recite (al-Faatiḥah) in the obligatory and optional prayers. He should recite it silently and then remain silent and listen to the Imaam – in the night prayers, in Fajr, Maghrib, al-`Ishaa, and Friday prayer. The follower should recite – and this is the correct opinion – and then he should remain silent.
💥Important💥
👉 Something we all face in Taraaweeh or when we are late to the congregation
🌟 Ruling on Duaa al-Istiftaaḥ*:
aa al-Istiftaaḥ: the opening supplication that is recited after the first Takbeer and before reciting Surah al-Faatiḥah. Example:
*[TN]: Du
How perfect You are O Allaah, and I praise You. Blessed be Your name, and lofty is Your position, and no one has the right to be worshiped except You.
[See “Ḥiṣnul Muslim” for other such Duaa which are mentioned in the Sunnah]
aa al-Istiftaaḥ?
👉 Question: If a person joins the congregation and the Imaam is reciting Surah al-Faatiḥah, should he recite the Du
🔊 Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen: If a person joins the congregation while the Imaam is reciting Surah al-Faatiḥah, then he should say the Takbeer and silently listen to it. Then, after the Imaam completes his recitation of Surah al-Faatiḥah, the person should then say the Du
aa al-Istiftaaḥ and recite Surah al-Faatiḥah. But if he joins the congregation after the Imaam has already recited Surah al-Faatiḥah and is now reciting some other Surah after it, then in this case, he should only recite Surah al-Faatiḥah and he should not say the Duaa al-Istiftaaḥ because there is no place for saying the Du
aa al-Istiftaaḥ in this situation. When the Imaam is reciting, one should not recite (anything behind him) except for Surah al-Faatiḥah.
So, upon this, this is how it is to be done:
1️⃣ If a person joins the congregation while the Imaam is reciting Surah al-Faatiḥah, he should remain silent. Then when the Imaam completes his recitation of Surah al-Faatiḥah, he should say the Duaa al-Istiftaaḥ and recite Surah al-Faatiḥah.
aa al-Istiftaaḥ, as this is not the place to say the Du`aa al-Istiftaaḥ.
2️⃣ If he joins the congregation after the Imaam has already recited Surah al-Faatiḥah and he is reciting some other Surah, then he would say the Takbeer and only recite Surah al-Faatiḥah without saying the Du
📚 [Liqaa’ al-Baab al-Maftooh (5/42)]
💠 What is the meaning of "the real recitation" of the Qur’aan?
{Those to whom We gave the Book recite it as it should be recited} [1]
💢 Quote: Abu al-Aaliyah said that Ibn Mas
ood رضي الله عنه said: ❝By He in Whose Hand is my soul! The right Tilaawah is allowing what it makes lawful, prohibiting what it makes unlawful, reciting it as it was revealed by Allaah, not changing the words from their places, and not interpreting it with other than its actual interpretation.❞
-- end of quote
👉Tafseer al-Muyassar:
Meaning: “They read it correctly, follow it as it should be followed, and believe in what it contains of belief in the Messengers of Allaah, including the Seal of them, our Prophet and Messenger Muhammad ﷺ. They do not distort or alter what it contains. These are the ones who believe in the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and in what was revealed to him. As for those who changed some part of the Book and concealed some of it, these are disbelievers in the Prophet of Allaah, Muhammad ﷺ, and in what was revealed to him. And whoever disbelieves in him, then with Allaah, they are the ones who are most deprived (and big losers).” [2]
👉Al-Ḥaafiẓh Ibn Katheer رحمه الله said:
Allaah تعالى said,
{Those to whom We gave the Book. Yatloonahu Haqqa Tilaawatih.}Abdur-Razzaaq said from Ma
mar, from Qataadah: “They are the Jews and Christians.’’ This is the opinion of Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Zayd Ibn Aslam, and it was also chosen by Ibn Jareer.

Sa
Abu al-Aaliyah said that Ibn Mas
ood رضي الله عنه said: “By He in Whose Hand is my soul! The right Tilaawah is allowing what it makes lawful, prohibiting what it makes unlawful, reciting it as it was revealed by Allaah, not changing the words from their places, and not interpreting it with other than its actual interpretation.”
As-Suddee reported from Abu Maalik from Ibn Abbaas رضي الله عنهما who said about this Aayah (2:121): “They make lawful what it allows and they prohibit what it makes unlawful, and they do not alter its wordings.”
Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭaab said, “They are those who when they recite an Aayah that mentions mercy, they ask Allaah for it, and when they recite an Aayah that mentions torment, they seek refuge with Allaah from it.” This meaning was attributed to the Prophet ﷺ, for when he used to recite an Ayah of mercy, he invoked Allaah for mercy, and when he recited an Ayah of torment, he sought refuge from it with Allaah.[3].
– end of quote of Ibn Katheer. [4]
👉Al-Qurṭobee رحمه الله said:
And the saying of Allaah تعالى: {Those to whom we gave the Book}, Qataadah said: “They are the companions of the Prophet ﷺ.” So the Book would mean – the Qur’aan.
And Ibn Zayd said: “They are those who have accepted Islaam from the children of Israa’eel (i.e. the Jews)”. So, the Book here would be – the Torah.
There are different opinions on the meaning of {recite it as it should be recited}. Some said: “obeying it as it should be obeyed; following what it has enjoined and forbade. Making Ḥalaal what it has made Ḥalaal; and making Ḥaraam what it has made Ḥaraam; and by implementing it”. This was said by Ikrimah.
Ikrimah said: “Did you not hear the words of Allaah تعالى: {By the moon as it talaahaa} [5] i.e. it (the moon) follows it (the Sun)”.
And Ibn Abbaas and Ibn Mas
ood رضي الله عنهما have said similar to it.
It has been reported by Nasr Ibn Isaa on the authority of Maalik, on the authority of Naafi
on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Prophet ﷺ said about the Aayah {recite it as it should be recited}; ❝(it means) to follow it as it should be followed❞. But this Sanad (chain of narration) is Weak because of more than one unknown narrator as al-Khateeb Abu Bakr Ahmad has said. But its meaning is correct.
aree said: “whoever follows the Qur’aan will enter the gardens of Paradise.”
And Abu Moosa al-Ash

📑Meaning: Due to the person’s recitation of the Qur’aan and acting upon its commandments, it will be proof for him on the Day of Resurrection.Amr رضي الله عنهما reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ❝The Fast and the Qur’aan are the two intercessors for the servant of Allaah on the Day of Resurrection. The fast will say: “O Lord, I prevented him from his food and drink during the Day. Let me intercede for him.” The Qur’aan will say: “I prevented him from sleeping at night. Let me intercede for him.” And their intercession will be accepted.❞

❝Then the Prophet ﷺ said: ❝and the Qur’aan is a plea in your favor or against you❞, because the Qur’aan is the strong rope of Allaah, and it is Allaah’s proof on His creatures. It will either be in your favor – and that is if you try to reach Allaah through it, and uphold its obligations, such as accepting what is mentioned therein, acting upon its commands, abstaining from its prohibitions, and venerating this noble Qur’aan and honoring it.
But if the matter is contrariwise; you put down the Qur’aan, desert it in words and meaning and in your actions, not observing its obligations, it will surely be proof against you on the Day of Resurrection. The Messenger ﷺ did not mention any rank in-between the two! That is, he did not say that the Qur’aan will neither be a proof for you nor against you because in any case, it must be either for you or against you. We ask Allaah to make it proof for us all; the proof from which we take guidance in this world and in the Hereafter. He is certainly the Most Generous and Most Honorable.❞
