According to FT, Tether has scaled back its planned $15–20bn fundraising after investor pushback over a $500bn valuation, with advisers now discussing a raise as small as $5bn. CEO Paolo Ardoino said the larger figure was only a maximum the company was willing to sell and that Tether would be comfortable not raising capital at all. The firm made about $10bn in profit last year, mainly from USDT reserve returns.

Aave DAO has released an ARFC proposal titled “Focussing the Aave V3 Multichain Strategy – Phase 1”, outlining a plan to streamline Aave V3’s multichain footprint.
The first phase proposes freezing the Aave V3 deployments on zkSync, Metis, and Soneium, while introducing a requirement that any future Aave V3 deployment be backed by a minimum annual revenue guarantee of $2 million from the target chain, in order to better align deployment costs, risks, and expected returns.
