CZ and Binance face new lawsuit for alleged laundering of stolen crypto
In an Aug. 16 class action complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, Seattle, the plaintiffs allege their crypto was stolen, and those funds were sent to Binance by the thieves to “remove the connection between the ledger and their digital assets,” making them untraceable.

▫️It plans to launch the first phase of its main network on Aug. 22, at ~12:45 UTC.
▫️During Phase-1, every stake is set with a maximum staking time (i.e., the time-lock in the Bitcoin staking script) of 64,000 Bitcoin blocks , which is approximately 15 months.
▫️There will be an on-chain unbonding period of 1008 Bitcoin blocks (roughly 7 days and defined in the unbonding Bitcoin script), after which the stake will expire and become available for withdrawal.

The whale carelessly signed an unknown transaction 13 hours ago, setting the owner of his 55.47M DAI in Maker to the phishing address"0x0000db5c...41e70000".
When he later tried to withdraw 55.47M DAI, the transaction failed due to the owner change.
The phishing attacker set the owner to a newly created address"0x5D4b" and withdrew the 54.47M DAI.
The attacker has exchanged 27.5M DAI for 10,625 ETH currently.
