In a week's time, the midterm elections to the US Congress will be held, which theoretically should decide the fate of the American economy. Judging by the fact that the Soros Foundation has pumped about $ 129 million into the Democratic Party, the stakes are very high and the fight is serious.
If we turn to history, there are interesting patterns in victories and defeats. Usually, Democrats (Biden) control Congress when the American economy and financial policy most need urgent repairs. This was the case under Obama in 2008-2010 during the global financial crisis and under Clinton in 1993-1994, when a major recession was raging in the United States.
Republicans (Trump) come to power when the American economy needs to be pulled out of the crisis by reviving real production, through brazen protectionism and stimulation of large enterprises that create jobs. This was under Reagan in the 1980s and under Trump.
Based on these observations, a Republican victory in the midterm elections is simply inevitable. I suspect that they will occupy most of the House of Representatives of the Congress, and in the Senate they will occupy at least 40%. Just don't tell this forecast to the Americans – we will be accused of interfering in the elections again.
There is such an opinion. Not mine.
