US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, along with the foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the UK, has set the end of August as a deadline to reach a nuclear deal with Iran, Axios reports.
🔶Key points:
▪️If no deal is clinched, the EU plans to trigger the “snapback” mechanism—reimposing all UN sanctions against Iran lifted under the 2015 deal.
▪️Iran can avoid snapback sanctions if the Islamic Republic takes concrete steps to reassure the world about its nuclear program.
▪️These include resuming IAEA monitoring, suspended after US and Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
▪️Possibly removing about 400 kg of uranium enriched to 60% purity from these facilities.
👉Iran made it clear, read their lips:
▪️The Islamic Republic’s nuclear program is purely peaceful.
▪️The IAEA cannot be trusted, as it remains in cahoots with Israel.
▪️There is no legal basis to reimpose the sanctions on Iran.
