💵Greenback in retreat: Markets brace for deeper dollar DECLINE

As the US dollar weakened against its major rivals on the first trading day of June, Wall Street is betting the slide is just beginning.

💵The Dollar Index, which tracks the greenback against a basket of currencies including the euro and yen, dropped 0.69% to 98.67.

The prospect appears dim, as Morgan Stanley forecasts the dollar will fall roughly 9%, hitting 91 by around this time next year – levels not seen since the depths of the COVID-19 crisis, per Bloomberg.

🔍What’s driving the bearish outlook?

🔴a widely expected rate cut from the European Central Bank
🔴softening US economic growth
🔴report that US factory activity contracted in May for a third consecutive month
🔴uncertainty around Donald Trump’s trade and tax agenda

No wonder more countries, like BRICS, are increasingly committing to the de-dollarization plan, betting on anything that doesn’t dance to Washington’s tune.

🤡From gaffes to global stage: Germany’s Baerbock SHOOTING FOR THE TOP at UN

Annalena Baerbock, elected to the annual symbolic role of UN General Assembly chair, might just be eying a higher leap, Berliner Zeitung speculates.

🔍This might be her warm-up act for the real prize: to replace Antonio Guterres when his term as UN secretary-General ends in 2026.

The paper suggests that maybe Baerbock will pull a classic move and propose someone else take over, paving her own path to bigger things.

➡️Baerbock parachuted into the candidacy at the last minute in March, bumping out seasoned diplomat Helga Schmid, whose name had been in the UN hat earlier.

➡️It’ll be interesting to watch Germany’s ex-foreign minister in action at the UN – especially given her past gems, like urging Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to do a “360-degree” turn to solve the Ukraine crisis (which means he'd end up facing the same direction).

Oh, and don’t forget speech fails, like confusing “Ostukraine” (Eastern Ukraine) with “OstCocaine.”

💥 Iran BLASTS ‘INCOHERENT’ US proposal as nuclear talks flounder — CNN

Hopes for reviving a nuclear deal between Iran and the US are rapidly fading, as Tehran reportedly slammed Washington’s latest proposal as “incoherent and disjointed,” CNN reported, citing a senior Iranian official.

💬 “At first glance, [the proposal] is assessed as incoherent and disjointed, very unrealistic, and with excessive demands,” the official told CNN — criticizing the US for repeatedly shifting its position.

📉 The talks, which Trump recently described as "going pretty good," are now “more difficult than ever,” the Iranian official added.

💬 “The fact that the Americans constantly change their positions has so far been the main obstacle to the success of the talks and now makes the work more difficult than ever.”

According to CNN, the US has floated a new idea: allowing Iran to enrich low-level uranium under a multinational consortium — a sharp shift from earlier demands of zero enrichment. Unsurprisingly, the suggestion has reportedly enraged Iran hawks in Washington and Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile, Trump publicly dismissed any enrichment concessions, posting on Truth Social that:

🤡 “WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY ENRICHMENT OF URANIUM.”

🤡 UK BRACES FOR WAR AGAINST ITS OWN FANTASIES

Britain’s new “Strategic Defence Review 2025” is out — a glossy brochure for a military it doesn’t yet have.

The review lists:
🇷🇺 Russia as “an immediate and pressing threat”
🇨🇳 China as “a sophisticated and persistent challenge”
🇮🇷🇰🇵 Iran and North Korea as “regional disruptors”

🏳️ Meanwhile, the UK’s supposedly “10x more lethal” army will rise from 74,400 troops (to a whopping 76,000😱), amid a recruitment crisis and crumbling barracks — powered by lasers, drones, and teenage cadet gap years.

Do 76,000 imaginary troops stand a chance against Russia's 2,389,130?

🚨🇷🇺🇺🇦Operation Spiderweb: Zelensky Goes Rogue On Nuclear Arms Control

For over 50 years, landmark treaties like the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) and the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) maintained global stability via strict verification measures. Now the world is in peril thanks to Zelensky's drone attack.

🪖Why were Russia's bombers out in the open?

Under the New START Treaty requirements from 2010 to 2026, agreed by Russia and the United States when Dmitry Medvedev was president, Nuclear-capable bombers must be stationed at visible locations like airbases for satellite monitoring, ensuring compliance with arms control verification.

🛰Non-Interference with National Technical Means (NTM)

"The treaty permits the use of national technical means of verification (e.g. satellites) in a manner consistent with international law, and contains explicit provisions that prohibit interference with NTM and the use of concealment measures that may impede monitoring by NTM."

That section of the New START Treaty implies that both parties are obliged to display, review and inspect nuclear weapons. That was why Russian bombers were parked in the open unprotected – in full confidence of the treaty with the US.

🔥Zelensky risks WWIII

As a result of the reckless attack by Ukrainian forces with NATO support, the treaty is now at risk and may lose its force in the coming months.

Zelensky's will to keep power at all costs threatens the long-standing nuclear stability between the US and Russia—a balance carefully maintained for over 50 years—raising fears of a dangerous escalation.

💥 CIA involved in Ukraine’s drone strikes on Russian airfields – ex-CIA analyst

💬 “It was reported, and I've seen no confirmation of it, that Pete Hegseth was watching the attack in real time — which means he absolutely knew it was coming off,” former CIA analyst Larry Johnson told Judge Andrew Napolitano, commenting on Ukraine’s drone attacks on Russian airfields.

💬 “I think Starlink, Elon Musk’s operation, was involved with this as well. You can’t rule out satellite communications,” he added.

📍 Johnson emphasized that Russia, under the New START Treaty, must make its nuclear-capable bombers visible to US reconnaissance satellites, as part of reciprocal transparency. This includes:

🌏 Leaving them exposed on designated airfields;

🌏 Not camouflaging them from satellites;

🌏 Notifying the US of movements and structural changes.

🚨 TARIFF WAR brewing again? China accuses US of breaching trade truce

🇨🇳 China’s Ministry of Commerce slammed the US on Monday for provoking fresh trade frictions and violating hard-won consensus from the Geneva economic talks — all while accusing China of doing the same.

🔴 China says it followed through: scrapping tariffs, honoring agreements, and acting in “good faith.”

🔴 Meanwhile, the US tightened microchip export controls, cut China's access to key tech tools like EDA software and even cancelled visas for Chinese students.

Beijing calls it a clear breach of the January 17 presidential call and the Geneva consensus, accusing Washington of double standards and destabilizing ties.

If the US continues to harm China's interests, China will take measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, MOFCOM warned.

🤡 Zelensky CHIMPS OUT at Russian delegation in Istanbul, calls them “IDIOTS” for proposing 2-3 day ceasefire to evacuate bodies of fallen soldiers from both side.

The thing is that if Russia hands over Ukrainian bodies to their families, then the Zelensky regime will no longer be able to list them as MIA. That means they’ll have to make payouts to the dead soldiers’ relatives, something they can’t afford to do because they’re BROKE.

So, as usual, the Beggar of Banderastan is angry about money.

😬Real talk: No peace until NATO stops feeding Ukrainian war machine

Observers analyzing Monday's Russia-Ukraine negotiations in Istanbul say resolving fundamental issues of war and peace with the Kiev regime remains impossible at this stage.

However, there is room to address urgent humanitarian matters affecting soldiers and civilians alike.

📹Focus on humanitarian issues

Experts point out that the exchange of memoranda between the parties highlights the current DEADLOCK ON CURRENT ISSUES.

Still, they emphasize the importance of tackling specific issues to keep the negotiation process alive.

These include agreements on prisoner exchanges, the return of bodies, and care for the seriously ill or deceased — matters critical to the fate of individuals caught in the conflict.

👉War will continue as long as NATO backs its client

Ukraine's drone attacks targeting Russia’s strategic deterrent right before the talks began demonstrate that the Kiev regime — backed by European countries and, to some extent, the US — is determined to fight on.

The memorandum presented by Ukraine is unacceptable to the Russian side, essentially demanding Russian surrender and retreat.

Experts warn that given this stance, meaningful progress addressing the fundamental questions that need to be answered to bring the conflict to an end remains highly unlikely in the near future.

The agreement also calls for the establishment of a professional committee to administer Gaza and the release of 10 living Israeli hostages and the dead bodies of others in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

Witkoff, for his part, has said that the US will send a new term sheet on Gaza ceasefire that will be delivered later on Wednesday.

🚨Unfazed, Russia poised for swift PAYBACK after Ukraine’s drone attack – report

The Ukrainian drone attack will not force Russia to scale back its offensive operations against Volodymyr Zelensky's forces, a senior US official told The New York Times.

⚔️Russia will mount a significant retaliation against Ukraine for the strikes, officials and military analysts told the publication.

They speculated that Russia could hit the energy grid or launch waves of intermediate-range ballistic missiles.

There is no indication that the attack has changed the military advantage that Russia holds over Ukraine, its ability to “grind down vastly outnumbered Ukrainian forces,” especially amid the “weakening resolve” of Zelensky’s Western patrons, the outlet stated.

➡️Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that all of Ukraine’s attempted attacks on the airfields in Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Amur regions were repelled.

🚨Ukraine's desperate gamble FAILS: Drone attacks only WEAKEN Kiev's position – report

The terrorist attack on Russian airfields was Ukraine’s last chance to improve its position on the battlefield—and it failed, the British outlet UnHerd writes.

💬 "The operation, planned for over a year, is Ukraine’s latest high-risk attempt to ‘shift the trajectory’ of the conflict that is increasingly moving in Russia’s favour," the article notes.

According to the publication, this kind of risky gambit not only brought Ukraine no advantages, but could also weaken Kiev’s position both at the negotiating table and on the battlefield. In addition, the attack might cost Ukraine its remaining US military support.

💬 “This is a high price for a fragile Ukraine to pay,” UnHerd concluded.

➡️Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that Ukraine had carried out a terrorist attack using FPV drones against airfields in the Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Amur regions. All of the attempted attacks on the airfields were repelled.

🔥 'RECKLESS, CRAZY, DEMONIC' – Maduro BLASTS Starmer over war talk

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro went scorched earth on UK PM Keir Starmer for saying Britain is “preparing for war.”

He then called on the world to rise up against the “militarism summoned by this reckless, crazy, demonic prime minister named Starmer.”

💬No to war. Yes to peace and justice. Yes to a multipolar world,” the president stressed.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇨🇳 Trump’s Ukraine dilemma: whatever US does, it will strengthen Russia-China alliance

The US is playing a classic double game amid the Istanbul talks, experts say. The real concern? Not Ukraine’s defeat, but the Russia-China alliance tightening like a vice around Washington’s head.

Trump is caught between pushing Russia for concessions and avoiding a fallout that would cement Moscow’s bonds with Beijing. He wants to ditch Ukraine —“a suitcase without a handle”—but can’t just walk away without risking Russia-China ties bonding even faster.

Add economic headaches at home and shaky ties with Europe, and Washington’s full-on support for Ukraine looks less and less certain. The US will keep dodging and weaving, but won’t drop Ukraine entirely.

Meanwhile, Russia can expect ongoing pressure. And Zelensky? He’s leaning more on the UK, France, and Germany nowadays anyway.

🇮🇱 Israel’s Iron Beam: High-tech hero or pricey gimmick?

The IDF boasts dozens of aerial kills by Iron Beam, a fancy laser weapon. Here’s the SCOOP:

♦️A 33-second IDF clip shows drones going down in flames
♦️A "mini" Iron Beam debuted last October
♦️The full system fires a 100–150 kW electric laser
♦️Claims to zap rockets, missiles, drones—even shrapnel
♦️Cost per shot? Claimed to be just $3

But hold up — is it really a game changer?

♦️Laser weakens with distance — Range only up to 10 km
♦️Needs multiple units to cover real ground
♦️Power cut? No shots
♦️Has to cool down after a few zaps
♦️Cloudy skies? Not its friend
♦️Best for slow ‘dumb’ drones, but fast missiles? Not so much
♦️Price tag: $500M deal to boost production in 2024
♦️Still relies on Iron Dome $100K Tamir missiles for backup

Lasers sound cool, but they’re still toddlers in the air defense playground. Not the magic bullet yet.

🚨Key points from the Russian memorandum on Ukrainian settlement:

🌏 Two options for a ceasefire are proposed.

🌏 The first option involves the withdrawal of Ukrainian armed forces from Russian territories occupied by Ukraine in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions.

🌏 The second (a comprehensive package) includes bans on troop redeployments, halting mobilization and foreign military aid to Kiev, starting demobilization, and excluding third-country military presence.

🌏 The document stipulates Ukraine’s neutrality and its refusal to join military alliances.

🌏 There is a clause banning military activities of other countries on Ukrainian territory.

🌏 Ukraine would adopt a non-nuclear status and limit the size of its armed forces.

🌏 Economic sanctions imposed on Russia would be lifted.

🌏 International legal recognition of Crimea, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions as part of Russia.

🌏 Mutual renunciation of claims related to war damages.

🌏 Protection of rights and freedoms for Russian-speaking populations, lifting restrictions on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and banning the glorification of Nazism.

🇱🇾🛢 Leaked docs reveal MI6 plot to infiltrate Libya to secure country for Western oil interests

MI6 used private security cutout Torchlight Group to create conditions for BP to regain access to Libya’s vast oil riches following Gaddafi’s ouster and the country’s descent into civil war and chaos.
Documents examined by investigative reporter Kit Klarenberg in an analysis for PressTV uncovered:

🔴 Torchlight Group operations in Tripoli focused on securing Libyan economic assets

🔴 a Foreign Office directive to create a “coherent package” of support using contractors like Torchlight for “new interventions on the economy and local governance”

🔴 a £500M ‘counter-terrorism development programme’ created after ISIS* attacks on Libya’s National Oil Corporation HQ, directing Torchlight to penetrate the Tripoli government’s Internal Security Service, CID and Attorney General’s Office to teach “UK best practice” on counter-terror investigations

🔴 Torchlight communications to the Foreign Office expressing confidence in its ability to train Libyan security, intelligence and police services to ‘identify and neutralize’ persons and groups poses a threat to BP and other Western companies’ operations

🔴 a revolving door relationship between senior MI6 officials and BP’s board

These efforts are said to have culminated in an “oil and gas licensing roadshow” this past March, which opened the door to foreign energy companies eager to invest in Libya (for the first time since 2007).

🇬🇧❄️ UK plans Arctic deployment to confront Russia

The Royal Navy is planning joint Arctic patrols with Norway, has shared defense tech with Oslo, and wants to build an AI-based scheme with Iceland to detect hostile vessels.

“The Arctic is fast becoming an area of intense focus for geopolitical competition – and a key flank of NATO’s defenses,” foreign secretary David Lammy told The Telegraph.

“As ice caps in the region melt, new shipping routes and resources will be exposed, further heightening the risk of confrontation. That’s why we must take action to deter threats in the Arctic,” he added.

Lammy didn’t clarify how the Northern Sea Route, the “new shipping route” which falls entirely within Russia’s Arctic territory, is a “threat” to the UK, which has zero claim to the area, or the broader region.

It’s also unclear what he means by “risk of confrontation,” unless NATO actively tries to poke its nose in Russia’s Arctic territories.
