✳️ Photo Editor 2.0
Today we’re pushing the photo editor to the next level with the fun stuff: you can now add drawings, masks, stickers and text right onto your pictures.
✳️ Masks
This is easy: just choose a mask, and it will be automatically positioned in the right place. Telegram identifies faces on photos and uses mask meta-data to find the perfect spot.
Our artists created hundreds of beautiful and fun masks as examples, but everything we do here in Telegram is an open platform. So as of today, anyone can use the /newmasks command for the @stickers bot to upload their own masks.
✳️ GIFs Democratized
Creating your own GIFs has never been easier: simply record a video in Telegram and tap the new “mute” button to share it as a looped autoplayed GIF.
The animation will be saved to your GIFs section so that you can quickly react to anything with a set your own prerecorded GIF-emotions.
✳️ Trending stickers
The last addition to this entertainment-heavy update is the trending stickers tab. Whenever you’re feeling hungry for new stickers you can find the latest additions in the stickers panel in any of your chats.

Speculation: Facebook Messenger’s source code reveals hidden Rooms feature
The screenshots show how users can join public rooms, chat with friends as well as strangers using the standard Messenger interface and features, how to manage a Room, and the ability to share the Room to get other people to join with a public link.

WhatsApp Blocking Code concerning Telegram Links - That was our first and best move, guys... we were the first leaking that, in fact, WhatsApp was blocking Telegram links. Some important websites like Android Police mentioned us as the source. Something that made us be really proud at that moment :)
Then, when we were already a little bit known in Telegram we decided that we should try to do something kinda disruptive... so we thought that a LIVE Telegram interview via Channel (@TGTalks) translated into several languages at the same time (big thanks to all volunteers that worked really hard that day, thanks guys you were amazing!), could be something really cool. Facebook Messenger chatbots now support payments
The feature was announced by David Marcus at Techcrunch Disrupt SF 2016, who noted that the payments system will support most credit cards and payment services including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Stripe, PayPal and Braintree.

As you might know, Apple opened apps, stickers and games store for iMessage and Telegram started selling stickerpacks (from designers who cooperate with Telegram) in that store.
This is what Telegram Team said to vc.ru:
"In cooperation with Telegram's designers thousands of awesome sticker packs have been created. Some of them will be available to iMessage users for $1 or $2 per pack. All earned money will be used for extra payments to designers and invested in the creation of new sticker sets. In Telegram all sticker packs are available for free"

Telegram has paid $450.000 to more than 50 artists who created sticker packs within half a year.
Telegram has announced first results of sticker pack authors bounty program. From March to August 2016, more than 50 artists received $450k, says creative director of Telegram Andrey Yakovenko on his VK page.
In conversation with vc.ru Yakovenko told that the size of the bounty fund was $80.000. The remaining $370.000 were used to pay for stickers themselves — $80 per sticker. The bounty size of each artist is determined individually: it depends mainly on the popularity of the sticker pack and starts from $700.
Payments for stickers occured each month within the last 6 months. «Each month we collect reports on the work done and transfer payments for the new stickers» — told Telegram representative.
Bounty was paid as a bonus to the montly payment in August. In the future the company wants to continue working using that scheme.
Yakovenko didn’t tell the exact number of artists who received bounty. He explained that the number is constantly changing. «Someone leaves for personal reasons, someone new comes. Some go off to save energy and ideas. We want everyone to draw one set per month» — he explained.
Telegram team selects the works based on the quality of stickers, the author’s ability to create their own characters, skills to depict emotions, and humor. In order to participate in bounty program one should send 3 stickers in color with one character (with the size of no less than 512x512 pixels) and 5 outline sketches with the same character showing different emotions to Yakovenko’s Telegram account (@Yakovenko).
The next bounty payment is planned for the New Year, the size of the bounty will depend on the fullness of the artists.
Yakovenko says that the number of artists is not that big so bounty fund allows to increase the number of authors.
