Researchers discovered that the polymer material hydrogel can play and improve its gameplay experience by playing the prolific video game Pong.As reported in the findings from the Cell Press journal (https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2024/08/240822125903.htm), scientists were able to hook up non-living hydrogels with electrical stimulation in a virtual video game environment. This then allowed the non-living hydrogel to improve its gameplay by up to 10% with practice and was even able to create longer rallies between the paddles alongside an increased hit rate. After seven years on the market, there are a handful of big-name franchises that have surprisingly never arrived on Switch: Madden, Call of Duty, and The Sims. Well, that last one could change by the end of the year, as rumblings of a MySims remaster have bubbled up.Kotaku (https://kotaku.com/mysims-nintendo-switch-kingdom-racing-party-release-1851630257) reports that MySims is coming to Switch later this year, calling it a remaster "of sorts." A ResetEra thread (https://www.resetera.com/threads/mysims-for-nintendo-switch-has-been-listed-at-multiple-european-retailers.961761/) noted that multiple European retailers have listings for the unannounced game with a November 19 launch. However, Kotaku said it couldn't verify that specific release date. For those unfamiliar, MySims came out on Wii and Nintendo DS in 2007. They all released on Nintendo platforms, though the games did expand to other platforms, too. “Momo is a very important companion to Nikki, so we chose to put a lot of effort into portraying their friendship,” he says. “For example, Momo walks alongside Nikki during the game. Even when Nikki jumps and floats around the game’s world, Momo does his best to follow her. In shops, Momo will sit on a chair and listen to what the shop owner has to say together with Nikki. Background Design and Color Theory
Considering Studio MDHR designed Cuphead to look and sound like a 1930s-era cartoon, the 2017 breakout hit basically screamed: "Adapt me into a real animated show." In preparation for Episode 9, Act II, launching on August 28, Riot Games has announced Vyse--the latest agent to join the Valorant roster. Many of her abilities focus on stunning enemies to get the upper hand.Like every other Agent, Vyse will have four primary abilities that she can use. The first is Arc Rose, allowing her to shoot or place down a rose that can blind anyone who goes through it--including teammates. What's nice about this ability is that it can be picked up and redeployed. She also has Shear--a liquid-metal wall that'll activate whenever an enemy crosses it. Once the wall is up, it'll be indestructible for a few seconds, leaving whoever triggered it alone.She also has another move called Razorvine, which allows her to place an invisible nest in an area. Once it's triggered, the vines will become visible, and it will damage and slow down enemies inside it. As for her ultimate, it's called Steel Garden. Tominaga says new areas will be added to Infinity Nikki after release. Besides the grasslands that we got to play when we previewed the game, there will be areas such as a location covered in snow and a deep forest inhabited by faeries. The variation of locations should make photography even more interesting. During our time with the game, we felt that finding photogenic spots in a vast, everchanging open world proved to be a great match with a dress-up game. Even for a standard open-world game, a deep photo mode is almost seen as essential today. A wide array of camera options and different filters can be enjoyed in Infinity Nikki, and sharing pictures with other players will undoubtedly become an important part of the experience.
