Donkey Kong Bananza (https://www.amazon.com/Donkey-Kong-Bananza-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B0F66KLYVH?tag=gamespot-promos-20) has been out for a few days now, and if you're anything like me, you can't help but smash DK's fists through everything in sight in search of fossils, treasure chests, and hidden areas with Golden Bananas (technically called Banandium Gems). Hearing "Oh! Banana!" and watching DK's eyes light up like he's looking at his newborn child for the first time makes me chuckle 100-plus unearthed bananas later. But while Donkey Kong's fists might be made of steel, my thumbs are not. Bashing buttons repeatedly to carve tunnels does indeed get a bit tiresome. Players of a certain age (like me) may also find their thumbs getting sore. Jedi: Survivor follows the story of Cal Kestis, and the game is a continuation of Jedi: Fallen Order. As Cal, you get to fly your spaceship to different planets, unlock new abilities, and take advantage of a few combat styles, most of them involving your trusty lightsaber. Jedi: Survivor offers a fantastic story, engaging combat, and several maps to explore. The Last of Us has become a global sensation thanks to the HBO television adaptation, but the series began as one of the best action-adventure games in the 2010s, winning the Esports Awards' Game of the Year award in 2013. While The Last of Us doesn't feature any Nathan Drake-esque parkour or stunts, it does have fairly similar combat and world-building elements. There's also an added emphasis on stealth, as you have to navigate a world full of zombies and dangerous humans. Of course, it's hard to bring up The Last of Us without talking about the story. Be prepared for some truly heart-wrenching and thrilling moments throughout the journey of protagonists Joel and Ellie. While The Last of Us and Uncharted are different games at their core, you'll see the same DNA sprinkled in. The Uncharted series is one of the best all-around action-adventure experiences you can have in video games. However, this doesn't mean there aren't other games that are like Uncharted in one or more ways. Whether it's the historical lore, the parkour-style movement, the storytelling, or the heart-pounding combat, there are games out there that allow you to have a similar experience to the ones you have with Nathan Drake and Sully.Of course, it can be slightly difficult to figure out what some of those games might be. Nintendo recently revealed a new Pokémon Legends Z-A Switch 2 Bundle, and it's now available to preorder.
Hot Toys has officially revealed its Death Stranding 2: On the Beach collectible figure, and the toy company is making a highly detailed replica of the game's protagonist, Sam Porter Bridges. Like his video game counterpart--who is based on the likeness of his actor Norman Reedus--the toy version of Sam is loaded with cargo and extras, and he even comes with a tiny replica of his travelling companion, Dollman. US pricing and a release date for the figure haven't been revealed yet at the time of writing, but these typically start at $260 and have long production times.There'll also be an Artisan Edition of Sam, which replaces the sculpted hair with a wool material to add an extra layer of realism. Additionally, there are several extra hands with different gestures--including a fun "thumbs up" appendage--accessories for Sam to carry, a non-lethal assault rifle, and his Odradek equipment to help him zero in on the location of BTs.The other nice details here include a screen-accurate porter suit, as it features various harnesses to hook equipment into, a combat exoskeleton, and a BB pod on his chest. Overall, there'll be three editions to choose from. The Artisan Edition includes the aforementioned realistic hair, as well as an extra briefcase for Sam to carry, a replica of Higgs' golden mask, a blood boomerang weapon, a rubber pizza weapon, and a base that lights up.The Deluxe Edition has sculpted hair for Sam, and it comes with all of the extras from the Artisan Edition minus the Higgs mask. The Standard Edition doesn't have any of those extras, and for the base, it has a regular diamond-shaped one with Death Stranding 2 iconography on it.
