The game takes place in turns, and every turn, you get to take a variety of actions to accomplish certain goals, produce items, explore the world, and fight opponents.Compared to previous installments, Civ 7 allows for more automation from turn to turn, especially in combat, and doesn't make the gameplay loop as overwhelming right from the get-go. You can also use the new Age system, which determines what you can produce and what world leaders you can interact with at a certain time, to begin in an already-established civilization or start from scratch every playthrough. As you win more battles, your empire grows. The battles are quite different from one another, though, so you'll have to implement new strategies every time your army goes to war. There's also quite the story developing in the background that alters some of the content you experience throughout the game. If the single-player campaign doesn't suit your fancy, you can partake in custom multiplayer battles as well. The standard battle royale mode is still the main event in Fortnite, but among all the new modes that Epic has added to its metaverse in the past two years, the respawn-focused Reload mode is easily the most popular. And on Tuesday it's adding to its rotating roster of throwback maps with a new mini-island full of locations from Chapter 2, like Slurpy Swamp. The new map will feature eight named locations, several of which appear to be lifted directly from the Chapter 2 battle royale island, and a few others which are inspired by it. Slurpy Swamp is at the center, which will make for a pretty big change of pace from the urban environments of Tilted Towers and Paradise Palms, the centerpieces of the other two Reload maps. Considering how expansive the swamp is on the map below, it seems as though there will literally be healing slurp just lying around all over the place.

Your citizens can divide themselves into different factions as you progress, and each faction has ideas on how the metropolis should be run. It's your job to figure out which faction to listen to, which can cause some discord amongst the other citizens.
