Have you ever had an "Antony" like ten Hag has in a save?
in case you didn't catch it: according to Sky Sports, Bayer Leverkusen is formalizing an offer for Antony at the request of new manager Erik ten Hag. Antony played under ten Hag at Ajax, then was bought by United when ten Hag took charge, and now might be playing for him again in a third different club.
have you guys ever did this in a save? buying the same player multiple times as you changed teams? who was the player?
mine was a Spanish regen winger named Ivan Cortes. my scout found him in the Spanish 4th tier but with loads of potential. I signed him to play for my Slask side, then eventually did it again (450k) when I moved to Lech. at Lech he became a real superstar and earned a massive move (180M) back home to play for Real Madrid. the lights were a little too bright for him at Madrid so he eventually became available again. I did all I could to reunite us at Lille, even if it meant blowing up our budgets. Instead, the little traitor signer for PS-fuckin-G. I wonder if that's how Jesus felt when he was betrayed.

I find them tedious, repetitive, and just a bad feature, it was ok in earlier versions when it was minimal, but does anyone hope they remove or scale them back in FM 26?

How do you keep at a save?
I dont know if this is an odd one because I see so many people here in insane years but how do you get so far in a save? I have over 1700 hours in this years game but have never made it past season 3 without defaulting to a new save which again wont make it past a season or 2. Journeyman careers interest me but I end up too invested in my team even if I get bored of playing them. Any tips? I've tried downloading the instant result (as well as others) mod because playing against a last place team to win 6-0 with like a million highlights from all the chances I create ending up taking like 20 minutes is a bit long, but I cant for the life of me figure out how to get the mods to work, so some help on that would be appreciated asw.

New FM-Arena testing results: ("Negative") Attributes, the 3 God AI Managers, "Big Matches", and more!
This very day, many long-term FM questions have been seemingly answered!
It was months-long testing performed by harvestgreen22, an extremely reputable member of the FM-Arena forum, who we have to thank. I am just summarizing their work. **!!** *NOTE: If you don't like uncovering the "magic" of the game, stop reading here. This aint AI btw.* **!!**
More tests and details can be found in the post above, this is a summary of the highlights. I believe it is all reputable, and as they say, much more rigorous than "feel."
1. **(Negative) Attributes**:
- **Intro**: Reverse-engineering of the game engine by chinese testers revealed the **formula for an attribute:**
- **#1 discovery: Attribute = Propensity (attempts)" + "Success Rate"**
- "Higher attributes make players attempt actions MORE OFTEN, not just better. This can HARM team performance when players ignore tactical instructions to do what they prefer" (Prysiu)
- Example: A player with high passing is more likely to pass even when unsuitable to tactic.
- Example #2: A player with high finishing is more likely to take chances even when a pass would be better xG.
2. **AI Manager Power-Level** (better than you think):
- **Intro**: 15 big AI managers + their tactics were tested. Each was given an identical squad of players (with even attributes).
- **Discovery #1**: Manager is by far the #1 factor in AI-club performance.
- **Discovery #2**: There is a *massive gap* between the best & the worst AI managers.
- **Discovery #3**: The teams of the *best* AI managers **perform on-par with many of the most broken tactics on FM-arena (!!)**
- Certain AI managers tactics & "tendencies" seem to perfectly abuse the match engine, just as good as player tactics can.
- **Top 3 AI managers [\(pic of 15 tested here\)](https://i.imgur.com/eda09AB.png)**:
- **#1**: Marco Rose (RB Leipzig
- **#2**: Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid)
- **#3**: Stefano Pioli (AC Milan)
- **Worst 2 AI managers** (by a good bit):
- **#1**: Pep Guardiola (Man City)
- **#2**: Xavi (Barcelona)
- **Consequence**: "Get Stuck In" + more if you want to beat the best.
- A huge gap exists between a top club with a bad manager and a top club with a top manager. Tactic is everything.
3. **Extras: Big Matches + Holidays**
- **Holiday** Question: Is there a difference between a player *requesting* a holiday vs. sending them on holiday yourself?
- Answer: No difference in performance, although visually appeared different.
- **Consistency**: confirmed as a useful & important attribute
- ** **Big Matches**: confirmed as a useful & important attribute! (Before, only Consistency had been confirmed as useful.)
- * Due to translation errors exact data is not available. H-green's implication: it is as useful as Consistency.
- **Extreme Test: Testing environment was the final of the UEFA Champion's League. Unknown exactly what a "Big Match" is.

I know that talk of the math & fundamentals of the game is controversial here. Relax! It's not for everybody.
For me, I enjoy playing FM with "complete knowledge" more than I did when I was new. It might be different if the game didn't lie to you, but now I know any shortcomings are my own (or bloody RNG.)

Has anyone ever beaten Jose’s 15-goals-conceded in the Premier League record?
I’m asking since I’ve played possibly 90% of my FM saves in the PL and have never come close to even only 20 conceded while winning the league. I’ve seen many Invincibles, Centurions, 100+ GFs, some 38-0-0, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone anywhere beating the 15 GA record while winning the league. If you have done so, would you mind sharing how you set your tactic up and how far into the future were you?
