If you had to pick one sport that’s not football for an FM style game what would you pick?
I think cricket because of the similarities in format

Over 50 and (still? newly?) playing FM?
I played a predecessor of FM in a language I didn’t even really speak when I was about 30, forgot about it as a Mac guy and then found the game again last summer — age 54.
Definitely have the sense this is a younger community, but wondering how rare a swan I really am?

Hi Redditors,
Saw a post about this a while ago but was deleted and nothing came out of it unfortunately, for those of you who are wanting to actually have it happen i'm happy to help out. I have done a few of these over the last couple months and people are loving them.
Simply just fill out the form below with the information you want your player to have. I thought this might be some good fun and hope everybody is looking forward to the outcome. I will do this no matter if I get 1 response or 10,000.
I will be keeping entries open until 72 hours from when I have posted this, I will also be keeping statisics of how your career progressed and a leaderboard possibly with reddit usernames to see who has come out on top and is the next Messi/Ronaldo
I will be posting results in our community discord that has 400+ members already! FM Discord

Does player form really drop after rejecting huge transfer offers? Should I sell my star striker?
So I’m in 2033 on FM24, and my main striker Mathias Lundgren has been the focal point of my team’s success. He’s 24, world class, full 5-star baller. Scored 40 Prem goals in 83 games — not crazy elite numbers, but he’s been solid, consistent, and part of a core that just won a sextuple (Prem, UCL, FA Cup, Carabao, Community Shield, Super Cup).
Recently, I got a huge offer from AC Milan — 186 million. His current value is 225M, and he’s under contract till 2037. I didn’t sell him, even though the offer was massive and I already have a 400M transfer budget after a UAE takeover. I could’ve cashed in and brought in cheaper wonderkids or stacked depth, but I wanted to build a legacy team. Also, even though his total goal tally is a bit underwhelming (around 60 overall), he’s still been key.
Now here’s my worry — I’ve heard that if you reject big offers for players, especially ones above their value, their morale, form, and performances can take a hit. Is that actually true? Because I’m noticing slight dips lately and I don’t want this whole thing to spiral.
On top of that, I just got new offers: 155M from both Barça and Madrid. Now I’m torn. Do I cash in while his value is still high? Or do I risk keeping him and hope he continues delivering?
Any experienced FM players been in this situation? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

A small world of fantasy and cruel reality
You know what the saddest thing in this game is? And you only notice it when you leave the club, the club you loved. The club where every scout and physiotherapist is "yours". The club where your wonderkids are almost ready for adulthood. You already had a plan for them to become legends of the club, but you decided to leave. And only then do you see all the wretchedness and primitiveness of the AI. When one of the best players suddenly plays 0 matches in a season, and the new manager buys 2 more random left wingers for 60-80 million (sometimes from you), despite having a club legend at his peak (28-32 years old), a young prospect (who should replace him), and another wonderkid in the academy. And then you watch as a club with a billion-dollar budget turns into a mess of players, tactics, and coaches and dies. And this is only visible from the outside. Although all this nonsense happens with every club you play against. This game is a lie.

I FUCKING HATE WEST HAM
I swear to god I dont know what happened to them in my save but they have an absolute fuckload of money and they see my club as their personal shopping list, both for my staff and especially for my players. Theyre the number one team in the Prem now, having won it six times in a row. So whenever they bid they just unsettle my players, literally every single one of them. And when I reject one bid, they just move on to the next lad until half my team is unhappy cuz West Ham wants them. The same goes for scouts, and I have to pay them a hell of a lot more and when one scout actually says no to them they just move on to the next one I have. I wish that club would just fucking stop and burn to the ground
