Arsenal Training Session Photo by Stuart MacFarlane/Arsenal FC via Getty Images Bayern Munich is exploring a lot of ideas at the moment… Bayern really might be looking at Trossard (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)Right now, Bayern Munich seems like it will land Liverpool winger Luis Diaz (it actually seems inevitable at this point), but that does not mean that a bid for Arsenal FC’s Leandro Trossard is out of the question: Bayern have been linked with a move for Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli as well, but Trossard has emerged as a “new idea” for them. Arsenal want Trossard to sign a new contract extension at the Emirates, but Bayern can offer him a better deal. The former Genk winger is currently managed by German agent Dirk Hebel, who is also the agent of Marco Reus. Christian Falk has told CFBayern that Trossard is “definitely” on Bayern’s list. The Bavarian club have made contact with the player’s camp, and they can “offer more”.The Bild journalist said: “Leandro Trossard is a new idea. Gabriel Martinelli has been on the list for longer. Bayern had contact with the Arsenal winger’s management, but in the meantime, the club also got in touch with Trossard’s management. This is because he has had a new agent from Germany since July. His name is Dirk Hebel – he’s the agent of Marco Reus. Reus, at the time, played for Gladbach when Max Eberl was the sporting director, and was sold to Dortmund. It was a big transfer for Gladbach, with BVB activating a €17.5m [£15.1m] release clause.“I heard there was also contact with the management again because of this player. So he is definitely on the list, like Martinelli, and I know that Arsenal want to give him a new contract. But I think Bayern Munich can offer more.”It would be easy to say that Falk could be just stirring things up, but the Sport Bild journo was pretty much dead-on with his reporting when everyone else was shouting him down. According to a report from Tz’s Philipp Kessler and Mano Bonke (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich was able to make headway with VfB Stuttgart attacker Nick Woltemade by selling him on being the successor to Harry Kane: One of the arguments that convinced Nick Woltemade to join Bayern is that the club would plan with him as Harry Kane’s long-term successor upfront. The German international wants to move to Munich at any cost.Kane’s future with Bayern Munich is up in the air. With his contract ending in 2027, Bayern Munich could have to sell the Englishman next summer. At most, Kane has two years left in Bavaria and the club needs to be prepared to replace him at the position. At this point, Woltemade is just as good an option as anyone to fill that spot whenever Kane decides to leave Bayern Munich. The careers of Liverpool FC’s Luis Diaz and Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl could end up intertwined if the transfer move goes through. Meanwhile, is the rest of the Bundesliga sick of being bullied by Bayern Munich and is the league bleeding too much talent? Liverpool Training Session Photo by Andrew Powell/Liverpool FC via Getty Images Barcelona pulling out of the race for Diaz clears the way for Bayern to do what they have to do to get a deal over the line. By now, it s absolutely no secret that Bayern Munich is heavily interested in signing Liverpool winger Luis Diaz this summer, as the Colombian international is at the top of their list alongside VfB Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade. As things stand, Liverpool have already rejected two bids from Bayern for Diaz and remained firm in their stance that the player is not for sale this summer, but reports have suggested the player is open to leaving and would like to join Bayern. The German Rekordmeister’s initial bid was just shy of 70 million euros. As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (via @iMiaSanMia), FC Barcelona have pulled out of the race for Diaz, having also been interested, which now opens the door more to Bayern, putting the onus on them to continue negotiations with Liverpool. Club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has now stepped in to help negotiate with both Liverpool and Stuttgart for Diaz and Woltemade, respectively, hoping that deals can eventually be struck. Preston North End v Liverpool - Pre-Season Friendly Photo by Catherine Ivill - AMA/Getty Images Per Romano, Bayern are preparing to back in “very strong” for the Colombian winger, so much to the point that Liverpool might very well have to listen to the next offer. It might be something too good for them to turn down, especially since they’ve already spent money to bring in Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, and they are very close to sealing a move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike. Romano also reiterated the fact that Diaz has expressed his desire to leave Liverpool this summer, and to leave for Bayern. That works in Bayern’s favor at the negotiating table, but Arne Slot, Richard Hughes, Michael Edwards and the rest of Liverpool’s front office will certainly do what they can to try to convince Diaz to stay and potentially extend his contract beyond the summer of 2027. There are a lot of moving parts to a potential Diaz move to Bayern. There’s an added onus on Bayern to bring someone of his caliber in since they missed out on Wirtz and since they will be without Jamal Musiala for several months after the season starts. Vincent Kompany needs that depth in the winger position, especially considering the injury histories of both Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in recent seasons. At Liverpool, should Diaz stay, he would be competing for minutes with Wirtz, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, and Ekitike if he does wind up getting signed in Liverpool’s attack given Diaz’s versatility to play as both a winger or central attacker - he been deputized in both positions under both Slot and Jurgen Klopp.

Portugal v Spain - UEFA Nations League 2025 Final Photo by Edith Geuppert - GES Sportfoto/Getty Images Will this be on the table for Bayern Munich? According to a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), rumored Bayern Munich transfer target Renato Veiga is being monitored by a few clubs, including Atlético Madrid: Bayern, Atlético and Premier League clubs are all in the race to sign Renato Veiga. Chelsea want a package of over €40m for the Portuguese defender. This is an interesting situation to watch because Veiga is affordable, available at a time where Bayern Munich could be seeking to sell Kim Min-jae. If Min-jae is sold, Bayern Munich will almost assuredly hit the market to see what is available and Vegia could be a quick solution for a defensive roster opening. Also, Paul Wanner and Lennart Karl could be in line for opportunities during the preseason...can the youngster take advantage of those chances? FC Shakhtar Donetsk v FC Bayern München - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD6 Photo by Rene Nijhuis/MB Media/Getty Images Peretz’s situation has finally gained clarity since the Jonas Urbig transfer. Bayern Munich will be offloading Daniel Peretz for the season. The 25-year-old goalkeeper will reportedly be loaned out to Hamburger SV. This leaves Bayern with four goalies in the roster. HSV, who have been promoted to the Bundesliga after seven years will be adding Peretz to their ranks.Per a report by Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), the loan deal for Daniel Peretz is finalized with the player expected to arrive in Hamburg by Monday at the latest. Peretz, who came in to replace the injured Manuel Neuer saw little game time before the much anticipated transfer of Jonas Urbig. The 21-year-old Urbig was brought in specifically to be Neuer’s understudy, thereby ruling out the possibility of any long term plans with Peretz.Peretz has already travelled to Hamburg and will undergo his medical exam on Sunday. The goalkeeper is expected to compete with Daniel Heuer Fernandes for the No. 1 role during his one-year loan stint. Injuries were the biggest spoilsport in Peretz’s time at Bayern, missing 19 games this season and 10 in the previous season. Jonas Urbig’s arrival put an end to any chance of playing even when the stubborn Neuer was injured. Nevertheless, this loan is an opportunity to find his rhythm back and demonstrate his ability once again in the German top division. Good luck Peretz and HSV!The careers of Liverpool FC’s Luis Diaz and Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl could end up intertwined if the transfer move goes through.
