Critics (or visionaries) argue that MicroStrategy’s business model is a massive scam fueled by a reflexive cycle. The company issues debt or equity to buy #BTC, driving up Bitcoin’s price. This boosts #MSTR’s market cap, increases its weight in indices, and attracts more investors. With a higher valuation, it issues even more shares to buy more BTC.
The cycle only works if BTC keeps rising. If Bitcoin stagnates or crashes (as it inevitably will), the entire system collapses. It’s unstable and resembles a giant pyramid scheme.
This could eclipse FTX, Bernie Madoff, and Enron. When it fails, it will make history.
