👍 On Thursday, August 17th, the @NFT_Reality hosted an enlightening AMA session with Alexander @Alexuniverse12, the core contributor of the @EVAAprotocol, which is the first lending protocol using @TONCoin in @Telegram.
This session was a part of the #CommunityThursday series. Alexander, who has won and been a finalist at numerous @HackaTONx events, provided invaluable insights.
⚡️How the EVAA protocol operates:
The lending protocol is based on two groups of users - those who provide funds to the protocol and others who borrow and pay interest to the former group. The protocol itself oversees the relationship between these groups. The entire mechanism is decentralized and functions based on FunC Smart Contracts.
⚡️Use Cases of the protocol:
Imagine a user #hodling @TONcoin, who wishes to purchase something but doesn't want to sell their coin. They can deposit their $TON into EVAA and use the coin as collateral to borrow stablecoins.
Users can establish “leverages”: deposit $TON, borrow stablecoins, purchase more $TON, and then utilize a credit lever.
⚡️Why does $TON need a lending protocol?
The blockchain requires such a protocol as it forms the basis of any DeFi ecosystem, just like a DEX. Other tools evolve from DEX and lending protocols. Yes, some functionalities, such as staking, can operate without it, but they are not comprehensive.
⚡️The importance of SDK:
The team is developing an SDK based on EVAA, which will become the foundation for other protocols. Moreover, the SDK will facilitate the protocol's integration into ecosystem wallets, like @Tonkeeper and @Wallet. Most importantly, it aims to create single-button solutions for everyday users in @Telegram.
⚡️Protection against hacking attempts:
The protocol's code acts as its defense mechanism. It undergoes internal testing and developer audits, in addition to external auditing companies that scrutinize the protocol for vulnerabilities.
