Psychology is an essential part of economics. You’re right that price parity and repegging are not the same, but the presence of the former helps induce the latter. We all witnessed the collapse of LUNA and UST, which had seemed so stable before. The fact that everyone believed in it allowed the system to work even though it was not sustainable. In that timeframe there were opportunities to increase the stability of the system. Only after the trust was lost, did the crypto/stablecoin unravel.
If you convinced people to remove 20% of the money in their savings accounts, you would probably find that the bank would not be able to satisfy them all — leading to trust issues with other people, causing a massive domino effect.
The point being, price parity is an asset for the system. When people have trust, it enables the system to generate value from the users, which can then be funneled back into the system to stabilize the fundamentals

Why should anyone pay for someone else? This like all in life was created for profit which creates innovation and freedom. You had the freedom to exit your position and enter back where it was or when it may be profitable again.

The investment was a decision I made myself, I don't want to blame anyone, but if the DFI team is not going to put their hand under the stone, why are we as investors always putting our hands under the stone?

Here is my personal view of what is happenning: there is a measure that will froze 90% of the supply in the hopes of increasing the price, in practical terms it is a devaluation of dusd, just like when a country like Zimbzwe cut off 7 zeroes to its currency. The problem with this is that it is not accompanied by any measure to fully back the stable coin in a sustainable manner, moreover the supply is not erased and in theory it will be unfrozen by tranches each time the stable reaches price parity, which is the same as injecting cancerous cells each time you are recovering from cancer..,
That is also based in the false belief that once you reach price parity all might be resolved, confusing price parity with repegging, while in fact reaching price parity is not the same as repegging, as pegging implies without exception fully backed assets in usd or other backed stable like usdt.

Correct, there will be a change for the dtokens and bake will swap before to prevent freezing the tokens on bake.
You can transfer them to your lightwallet and partizipate in the dtoken restart (check the blogpost i have linked) or swap them to DFI or BTC. But take care, DUSD is not at 1$ 👍
