Hi, yeah there are 2 options on defi Metachain, you can use CryptoFactor's cdfi staking or Marblefi's mdfi.
For both you just enter the dapp and mint either cdfi or mdfi, means you sell dfi for the liquid staking tokens. In the Background the dfi's are creating masternodes. and then at CryptoFactor you can stake the cdfi and get masternode rewards or use them for other stuff but then don't get the staking rewards. At Marblefi you get mdfi and the rewards are increasing the dfi value of the mdfi token while you can freely use the token.
Two good options, I Personally prefer CryptoFactors solution.

I have a lot of capital, but I know little about DeFi.

I mean, there's a fee to create a masternode and a finite dfi. So surely, there could be mechanisms at hand that could be created for unfreezing.
There are many similar mechanisms. Fixed staking at Binance as an example. There you loose all your gains if unfrozen before the maturity date.
Incredible that this wasn't adressed in the dfip.

There would have to be a special dfip that includes this as Addition. But it's also difficult, how to make them pay
in 20k DFI tranches you can also create masternodes.
