to just test the transferdomain testnet should work, to use some dapps you have to wait a bit, i think vanilla deployes at the moment on testnet. so maybe in the next 1-2 days it will be able to test it with metamask on testnet
there is a known issue with the rc1 with this errormessage, rc2 should solve it but the ocean you use is obviously not yet on the rc2.

I dont think it can get to zero, it can get really close to zero but there will always be some liquidity, but atm is the best and probably the only way to achive repeg let it drop as low as posible and the maybe put a DFIP use part of the Community Fund to buy and burn millions of dusd
