I generally agree with what you said, but I wanted to add something as well:
While the future swap provides a useful service to the system, it also can easily cause deterioration for the system.
It provides an unlimited amount of buying liquidity at 5% above the oracle or unlimited sell liquidity at 5% below. Especially when the FS occurs outside market hours as it has been doing, stocks such as dMSTR can be flung far outside the range but the oracle cannot yet record the change, and therefore the system has many potential risks.
I have made a write-up, but it was dismissed because we should proceed with the hard fork first :)
At this time, I am developing some new ideas but they aren't quite finished but I will share them once they feel ready.

Its the best place to start.

Well I dont know if that statistic is in fact correct. On the same diagram you can look up the total number of algos.
3 months ago: 201 mil
Now: 186 mil
Cant imagine we burned that much in 3 months while the FS prints. Btw. Same picture if you only look at dusd.
You can Check the dToken statistic on Kügis vault-maxi Page. Last Time I checked, more than 25 Mio dUSD in dStocks have been added via Future Swap which can (and have to) Go Back into dUSD at some Point. So IMO it's very fair to say that the Future swap is adding Inflation.

FS does not print only. FS can both print as well as burn. It all comes down to the market trends.
What is usually observed is that pump events in the market tens to cause FS to burn algo and dstocks, while bear events usually make FS to create dusd and dstocks.
Check any given timeframe and this is naturaly observed.
Considering we are under a bear September as historically usual, I am actually not surprised in seeing FS creating dusd or dstocks during its task.
Truth is, FS is a needed mechanism. What we as a community can and should be asking is how to make ir better, if there is a better way to perform the same task, rather than focusing on algo that ir may create. That is a mistake that community keeps making, complaining but not offering an alternative or maybe suggesting something.
No one complains when it burns algo, but thruth is, this would be a similar problem, ifww world be in a premium, FS would burn and make dusd more expensive.
What can be done diferent on it? Or even new?
I refuse to believe that in such a big community, there are not ideias, excluding the ones from the most known members we all learned to know.
Make dfips, make sugestions, engage here, but do it more than just to complain, is not to much to ask to the community I think.
In such a big community, there will for sure many people that can implement your ideas. No one needs to be a programmer someone wil always help if the idea is good! 👍

From 03-06-2024 to 08-09-2024 Future Swap burned
112.493.901,785 dUSD - 109.821.882,088 dUSD = 2.672.019,697 dUSD
From 03-06-2024 to 08-09-2024 Future Swap minted
52.659.553,93 dSUD - 47.561.269,378 dUSD = 5.098.284,552 dUSD
Minted dUSD - Burned dUSD = 2.426.264,855 algo dUSD created
