Question (Un)standardised scores in Poisson models
If you want to have a Poisson regression model with standardised scores, does the dependent variable have to be unstandardised? I am using jamovi, and when I have my dependent variable as a z-score, it doesn't accept it because it has to be a "positive number". Well, that makes sense, but I am wondering if this is typically okay or if I am doing something wrong.
Basic question from a basic student :)

Are all research scientist positions reserved for PhDs?
It seems like every position for all data science related research positions are reserved for either people with doctorates or people who are pursuing one. Are there any ways to break into a research position with only a bachelors? I generally dislike working on "business problems" and want to have the opportunity to work on something more grand

This data became available for the StockX sneaker data contest in 2019 and was sourced here. Unfortunately, this data only includes the sales of Yeezys and Off-White footwear. This dataset includes data from 9/1/17 to 2/13/19. It includes order date, brand, sneaker name, retail price, sale price, release date, shoe size, and buyer region.

I need Statista access to finalize my Master's Thesis.
Hi,
I tried to buy statista to get data to finalize my thesis in Brazil, unfortunately the plans restrict to a minimum of a year (unaffordable for me...). I know there are other sources, and other ways, but I don't need that, so I appreciate it, but please spare the suggestions. (My Uni doesn't have access, neither the local library, neither the company I work, etc. etc...). I specificallly need access to Statista for a day or at least the support to download a few reports.
Can anyone help in here?

Fed up with bad practices (throwaway rant)
TL;DR - this is a throwaway rant. Ignore as you see fit.
Begin rant

SAS is trash and needs to be cast down into a pit, never to be thought of ever again.

Excel is trash for everything except sending files to people who are too busy/important/unmotivated to do better.

Putting thousands of lines of "production code" in Jupyter notebooks is trash. Well-structured code with comments, sane variable names and AT A MINIMUM SOME KIND OF UNIT TESTS should be baseline.

If you never have time to write documentation or have code reviews but then complain that no one can help you with your OH SO COMPLEX processes, you deserve your self-inflicted pain.

If your idea of version control is to have a directory full of the same file with cryptic names like v2, v2final, v2final_fixed, etc then for the love of God please take an afternoon to learn the basics of git.
End rant

May your downvotes blot out the sun...
