🇨🇳🇭🇳 Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang and Honduran Foreign Minister Enrique Reina inaugurated the opening of the Honduran Embassy in Beijing on Sunday.
This comes as Honduran President Xiomara Castro is finishing up a six day trip to China to solidify bilateral ties established in March of this year.
Castro visited a Huawei research center and had a meeting in Shanghai with BRICS New Development Bank Chief Dilma Rousseff. Honduras has agreed to increase exports to China and will sign a Belt and Road Initiative memorandum for infrastructure development.
21 of 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean are now Belt and Road partners, with China’s engagement with the region far eclipsing the US and its Monroe Doctrine mentality.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Chen Weihua, China Daily journalist and social media legend, from the streets of Brussels.
We discussed US-led proxy wars in Ukraine and Taiwan, and what the rise of China means for the world from the Chinese perspective.

Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu warned US officials at the Shangri La Dialogue that began June 4th against exercising hegemony in China’s territorial waters.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin struck a harsh tone at the gathering, pledging to support so-called allies against “coercion and bullying” in an obvious nod to China. Austin announced that US and Canada would jointly sail warships through the Taiwan Strait, which occurred on Saturday.
Li responded to these moves by telling attendees at the conference:
“When friends visit us, we welcome them with fine wine. When jackals or wolves come, we will face them with shotguns"

At the APEC Ministers Summit this past Friday, South Korea signaled a willingness to strengthen cooperation with China in the semiconductor industry.
Bloomberg, AP and other western media are now reporting South Korea will refrain from capitalizing on China’s ban of Micron chips, citing that the move threatens to drive a wedge between the ROK and Washington.
This comes as Japan has adopted the semiconductor export ban policy toward China spearheaded by the United States in the aftermath of the G7 Summit.
Asia is the battleground of the US tech war on China. While damage will be wrought on the economy and China temporarily hampered, the words of tech CEO of Nvidia should be heeded: “If [China] can't buy fromthe United States, they'll just build it themselves.”
And that’s exactly what’s happening.

Several European countries including France, Germany, and the Netherlands are deeply concerned about EU Chief Ursula Von Der Leyen’s plan to “de-risk” from China 🇨🇳.
European officials have cautioned emphasizing national security over economic interests, with one anonymous official stating “We are Europe, not the United States.”

The BRICS Ministers meeting took place on Friday.
The foreign ministers of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa met with the FMs of a dozen other countries in Cape Town, South Africa.
BRICS will now set out to create a document that emphasizes a membership application structure and the roll out of a BRICS currency.
These issues will then be debated and possibly implemented following the August Leaders Summit. A new multipolar world is here 🇨🇳🇷🇺🇧🇷🇿🇦🇮🇳.

THE key take away of Xi's address to the Eurasia Economic Forum.
China 🇨🇳 has successfully completed the first passenger flight of its domestically produced C919 jet.
The model is set to compete with Boeing and Airbus. Major elite economists are predicting this could cost the US economy $1.5 trillion. What they are actually referring to by economy is the profits of the US’s airline monopolies.
In China, the achievement is a source of national pride. The C919 was produced by a state run company after decades of allowing western capital to enjoy the fruits of the Chinese market. US elites are furious that China has always demanded that foreign investment benefit the long-term health and stability of the country.
Now China is taking what it has learned and is doing it better. As has been the case for the last several years, sore neocon losers in Washington are surely aiming to escalate their war on China as they lose all legitimacy and relevance.
