While BTC is trading at similar levels to 2021 and earlier in 2024, the network’s underlying value has increased from $14,000 to $22,000 and from $26,000 to $33,000.
The price-to-average network value multiple for Bitcoin has halved, from 3.98x at the beginning of 2021 to 2.12x today. This decrease in the multiple suggests a strong, stable foundation for future growth rather than an overheated market poised for profit-taking.
There is currently much less unrealized profit in the market, indicating we are in the early-to-mid stage of a bull market, even though BTC is still trading around the $70,000 level.
