​​About $400M of Positions Gets Liquidated Due to Bitcoin Pump Above $35,000

In the past 24 hours, BTC has shown impressive performance, rising by 10.9% and reaching a yearly high of $35,280. The main driving force behind this growth is the speculation surrounding the imminent launch of a Bitcoin ETF.

Recently, iShares Bitcoin Trust by BlackRock has been listed on the DTCC website with the ticker IBTC. This suggests that insiders may be aware of the SEC's likely approval of the first spot Bitcoin ETF in the near future. Furthermore, the market anticipates that BlackRock has started purchasing small amounts of BTC to back the ETF.

Another positive development for the Bitcoin ETF is that a US Court has confirmed the ruling on Grayscale, stating that the SEC must re-review the GBTC bid.

As a result, about $400M in longs and shorts was liquidated from the leading derivatives exchanges within the past hour:

- $134M on Binance;
- $117M on OKX;
- $60M on Huobi;
- $41M on Bybit;
- $33M on BitMEX.
