well, this matters for memecoins but not for utility coins. the technology and the product behind it are really important. they can raise funds from VCs, whereas memecoins are only depended on behalf of the community and these are mostly only community-based projects.

projects like DOP which holds ‘utility’ don’t depend on the community. yet, its an important factor but not the most important.

if you have an extremely shitty team and you have a great product but you cannot deliver the expectations of it, then it will never succeed. this is how smart investors aka VCs are assessing their investment before investing in projects.

they’ve actually never said that the project will be above a certain price.

they all said, that the price of the fair launch isn’t something they could control. however, the current market condition is very bad for being launching a token.

the community is getting really mad. some people have invested a lot of money during the pre-sale and are now down 10x or even more.

the logic behind a pre-sale, is that the investors are getting some good returns. let’s how it goes with DOP in the future.

it has great use-cases and the team is top, this is the major drawback now for the community, because their DOP tokens are now ‘worthless’.

Hey, as I can see from the chart on KuCoin, the first trade was around $0.01423, which is lower than the IEO price.
If the project said that the IEO price will be above $0.025, then it seems that no one wanted to buy at that price. The first purchase was at $0.01423.

So you're right that market conditions set the price, that kind of price action happens sometimes.

@CryptoRank_CM can you confirm if this is true, DOP just launched yesterday but the listing price is way lower than the private sale. normally, the logic, goes that the private sale price should be lower than the current listing price. that's not the case as of now. so, my question is the following, is it correct that the listing price cannot be determined by the project's team and that it solely based on the market conditions?
