I'll add one more piece of info. Most banks will refuse transactions made to crypto platforms with Credit Cards. That issue has been here for quite sometime now. CC are more miss than hit. I rarely here reports they work.

Visa debit has been working a whole lot better.

CIBC can possibly hold an e-transfer. Especially if it's a new e-transfer. Some would require you to call in CIBC to clear the first delayed transaction.

Even though I'm with Simplii. I did have to call in the security department of Simplii which forwarded me to CIBC. To clear the e-transfer transaction. After that, it was smooth sailing.

I am of the belief that something has changed as of Friday as earlier in the week e-transfers from both CIBC and RBC were working without a hitch. Then on Friday, CIBC started placing holds and RBC started blocking. Choke point Canada?
