The Fed is threatening again with a 0.5% rate hike, but no one believes them, and 32% are set on a zero rate hike as early as February 1. That kind of optimism is worth punishing. And then today after the close of trading in the U.S. Microsoft report, such a heavyweight is able to bring variety 🤔
Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini will lay off another 10% of its employees to survive the losses from the Genesis bankruptcy. While this story only hit them, DCG is doing well and that's great for BTC 😇

BTC was over $19k at the moment, is this already a bull market? The bet on crypto market growth still depends on Fed policy and they made some good comments yesterday regarding the inflation data release. From a hike and leave the rate at 5% for the rest of the year, to the very optimistic - we will still consider whether to raise the rate further 🤑
The drama with the potential Genesis scam has reached a new level, with the SEC suing Gemini and Genesis for selling unregistered securities at the same time. Gemini executives have already called the lawsuit far-fetched and accused the SEC that now their Earn program customers won't see their money for even longer 😱
Polygon scheduled a hardfork for January 17 and nothing. In a really bull market, news like this pushes the price up. And meanwhile in altcoins we see the continuation of the stock taking positions, according to the principle of buying what I think is cheap 🤔

Bitcoin almost reached $17,400, but then the Fed spokesman's promise to raise the rate above 5% and keep it there until the end of 2023, turned the markets around sharply. And that's before the head of the regulator Jerome Powell spoke, we are waiting for him closer to tonight 😬
BTC retained its level of $17,200 and that's good. And the participants of the crypto market kept their greed for altcoin X's, even FTT found buyers 😁

The inflow of funds into the cryptocurrency industry in 2022 amounted to the equivalent of $433 million, the lowest since 2018. The volume of outflow is equal to 233 million.
In general, it looks like a typical situation during a bearish trend. Here is the relevant chart.
The new year often starts with a clean slate, let's update the knowledge about the first cryptocurrency.
How does bitcoin work? 🤔
The idea embodied in BTC by its creator Satoshi Nakamoto was to build a payment system without intermediaries, where settlements take place directly between users (sender and recipient).
Each BTC transaction on the main network goes through 7 stages:
▪️ Select recipient, transfer amount and commission.
▪️ The sender signs the transaction with a private key and sends it.
▪️ Nodes check the legitimacy of the operation and send it to the miners.
▪️ Miners add a transaction to a block.
▪️ Miners calculate the hash of the new block.
▪️ The new block is verified and added to the blockchain.
▪️ Nodes add a new block to their copy of the blockchain.
Knowledge of the algorithm gives an understanding that:
▪️ Nodes can not skip a transaction only if you do not have the required amount in BTC.
▪️ Miners can delay the processing of a transaction, but are unable to cancel it.
✅ And nothing… bitcoin continues to play stablecoin 😇
