Visa, Mastercard, and BlackRock launched Open Standard (OUSD) with 140+ partners including Stripe and Coinbase.
Led by Zac Abrams, Open Standard offers free transactions, earnings from reserves, and partner governance—unlike USDC and Tether.
Open USD allows free minting/redeeming with no limits. Partners receive all reserve income minus a small fee. Governance is by a partner council.
Stripe made Open USD its default stablecoin. Official launch is planned later this year.

According to Lookonchain, the trader bought 14.2 million ANSEM for $2,330, sold part for $68,100, and the remaining 10 million ANSEM are valued at about $548,800, resulting in a profit of around $614,500, more than 261x the initial investment.

🇮🇳 USDT Premium Surges in India Amid Crackdown
The USDT stablecoin premium in India reached 8.5%, nearly double the usual spread. Over the weekend, USDT traded on local platforms at 102.88 Indian rupees while the interbank dollar-rupee rate was 94.65 rupees. Normally, the price difference stays around 3–4%.
The Economic Times reported the premium spike is linked to raids by India's Enforcement Directorate. Authorities searched five firms suspected of facilitating unauthorized cross-border transfers using digital assets.

Grayscale research head Zach Pandle urged Strategy to sell at least $3 billion in Bitcoin to cover most of its cash obligations over the next two years and restore market confidence in its capital structure.
In its latest 8-K filing with the SEC, Strategy reported a dollar reserve increase of $300 million to $1.4 billion, enough to cover about 14 months of dividends on its preferred shares STRC with an annual commitment near $1.2 billion.

Trump filed his 2025 financial report, declaring $1.4 billion in income.
$1.1 billion came from crypto: $635.1 million from meme coin TRUMP, $236.3 million from selling WLFI tokens, $196.9 million from a stake in stablecoin USD1, $65.6 million from selling part of World Liberty Financial, $6 million from Melania’s NFTs and merchandise, and $1.82 million in Ethereum staking rewards.
He also earned about $300 million from a fund with 21,000 trades and renting rooms at Mar-O-Largo to relocators from Anapa.

Venice AI raised $65 million in a Series A led by Dragonfly, Coinbase Ventures, and North Island Ventures, reaching a $1 billion valuation two years after launch.
