Hi all!

Sadly, Apple has temporarily removed the Stoic app from its App Store for allegedly violating some of its (rather arbitrary) rules.

We think it’s an unfair decision. As you know, it’s a simple app that offers an easy and secure way to connect a crypto exchange account to the Stoic algorithm.

Yet Apple said: “Your app facilitates the transmission of a virtual currency but was not submitted by a corresponding exchange or recognized financial institution. Specifically, we found that your app uses a third-party exchange API that facilitates the transmission of a virtual currency, which is not appropriate for the App Store.”

Basically, they say that Stoic must be an exchange if it uses the exchange API, which is clearly weird to say the least. Moreover, there’re plenty of other apps in the App Store which have similar functionality and they’re still available.

Obviously, the story doesn’t end here, we’re discussing with the App Store team and sooner or later we’ll prove that the Stoic app abides by all rules.

If you don’t remove your Stoic app from your iPhone, it will continue to work but will not update. And if you've previously downloaded the app but then deleted it for some reason, it will be still available in the app store for you.

(Just go to profile -> purchased -> enter 'Stoic')

If you’re a new user, then, for the time being, we offer you to use Stoic as the web app — more users on other platforms could be one more signal to Apple to bring back the app!
